Palpitations when starting Dexamphetamine

I've recently been late diagnosed (56) and started on dexies and I've been getting a few periods of palpitations. They have been in the evening once in the evening about 5 hours after my midday tablets, and in the morning on the day after I didn't take any for a day. Blood pressure is fine, heartbeat is on the low side around 54 bpm. Is it common for palpitations when they are wearing off? I've only been on it for about 3 weeks and just started on 2x5mg twice a day.
Is skipping a day or two occasionally a good or bad idea?
I've heard of concerns with palpitations while using dexies but are they common when it's wearing off?
I did have quite a significant reaction to Clonidine with very low blood pressure and slowed heartbeat.
Other than that I'm not getting any adverse effects, sleeping has improved and anxiety reduced, except for over the palpitations lol
