Is there something like Hyprland but without tiling?

I want to learn to rice linux, but I don't think tiling is what I want (I quite like having my windows overlap instead of having them side-by-side).

Is there something really customisable and dotfile-based like Hyprland, but isn't tiled?

How do you guys get 9 million yen in a playthrough?

I'm at the final Royal Palace in an NG+, but the most I got in a single Mementos run (from the very top to bottom, before the Depths) is like 2-3 million (which includes selling treasures to Iwai) (which I blew through just by fusing a bunch of Personas rip).

I find that getting rich was much easier in P3FES just by going to Tartarus and opening every chest. Even P4 was somewhat easy by defeating Hands. Granted, I had to grind in those games and in P5 I have to make a conscious effort not to over-level the team.

I've maxxed out Jose's cognition for money and treasure, and have 80% completion of the Compendium.

What are you guys doing to consistently stay above 5 mil?

A Futaba appreciation post because I looove what they did with her

I like how she actually pulls all-nighters and completely blocks out all external stimuli while working on her computer stuff, then suddenly gets exhausted and passes out the moment she finishes. As someone who does programming for fun, I can tell you that basic human needs (water, food, etc) are thrown out of the window once you're in the zone, and 'the zone' can last 2-6 hours without you even realising it. It was so funny seeing Futaba lock in while Joker casually gives her room a good cleaning and she notices nothing from morning to evening. Hyperfixation frfr.

It also makes Futaba relatively more realistic compared with other OP Hollywood hackers who type for 10 seconds and say "I'm in". I have no doubt that Futaba installed all the green hacker themes has a fully RICEd Arch Linux on that computer though. And uses hackertyper.net for fun. One detail I loved in the animation was seeing freaking Visual Studio Code though (which I have NEVER seen on any movie so far), but I doubt she would stick with the default theme like the one used in the animation, and most likely she'd be one of those people who picks a side in the Vim/Emacs war.

She also has voice lines that mimic Sojiro and Joker. She sometimes says "Let me explain!" (like Sojiro!!) or says "Okay" the exact same way Joker does after a battle or Confidant hangout. Subconsciously picking up other people's mannerisms and expressions!! Autism!!!

Her early Confidant levels are also so fun because you get to be a gaming nerd with her.

Also, everyone talks about saying "beep boop" to Makoto and never talks about the ABSOLUTELY CUTE WAY that Futaba says "beep boop". "BEEP BOOP".

At which point does Joker stop smiling when collecting Will Seeds? And why?

First image seems to be from Kamoshida's Palace, and he does the :3 thing. I noticed at Shido's Palace he doesn't smile at all, but keeps a serious expression like in the second image which looks like Kaneshiro's Palace.

I wonder why he stopped smiling?

  1. Joker's clothing changes in the intro make soo much sense. I remember rewatching the first cutscene while in the middle of my first playthrough (around the Futaba arc), and what caught my attention was that Joker was arrested in his Phantom Thief clothing, but was in his Shujin uniform at the Police Station. The first time I saw the cutscene, I assumed they just removed his coat and mask for some reason.
  2. They never mention anything related to stealing and thievery in his list of crimes at the Interrogation Room. If you were playing blind, you'd think this Phantom Thief at least stole some things, but nope.
  3. >!Joker's phone is RIGHT THERE on the table. The ENTIRE TIME. For some reason I never even noticed that there was a phone at all until Joker points it out in his dialogue options.!<

Especially the real-world counterparts of the Palaces, e.g. a bank, a museum, a casino, and such.

They have Makoto and Futaba, who are hella useful. I'm gonna guess some players are probably able to do a full-stealth run where you just hide and never defeat Shadows except when necessary, so it's safe to say the Phantom Theives are probably stealthy when they need to be.

Do you think they can actually pull it off though (assuming none of them have any moral aversions to it in this case), or will they find it extremely hard since the Palaces really do a lot of hand-holding?

It's so funny.

Even funnier is that I only finished his Confidant rank 8 for the first time after hearing this (the one where >!he and Joker fight!<) and he talks about how much he hates losing. Dude doesn't want to lose even in a dancing game. Makes me want to fumble Will Power a couple more times.

And can we talk about how amazing the voice acting for him is???

Another funny thing: >!why the hell does his dance take place in the place where he dies??? And why was his first auto partner I got for this dance Futaba??? That's just messed up. I prefer getting him to dance with Joker because imo Joker would at least tolerate him (and Joker's so passive-aggressive in the dance dialogue I love it)!<

It's been a couple months since I actually played P3, and I'm currently playing P5 where Ren can be a total goofball and in these subreddits Makoto Yuki is depicted as the ultimate emo "I don't care." guy.

Playing Persona 3 Dancing feels weird. I forgot Makoto can actually be cheerful or supportive.

I'm playing the game for a second time, and since I now know the whole story, right after the screen goes white and hazy (before Niijima's Palace), I watch the memory that is revealed after Sae helps Joker.

I got to the part where Futaba plants the bug in Akechi's phone.

Now I just need to know: at which point does the memory after that happen? As in this one at 34:38? Does it happen after they secure the route, or before, or some undefined time before the calling card?
