First, I weighed it. My scale said 27.6 pounds. That is probably a little off and is most likely a result of flipping my kayak a couple weeks ago and getting everything wet. My guess is 4 1/2.

My question: is this a spotted bass? The upper jaw line does not seem to go past the eye, so I think so. But I’m no expert. I just throw junk in the water and see what grabs a hold.

Also, creek bass are fun.

I have fished this creek a few times and IF I catch something it is always a dink. Today was - different.
