Going down a rabbit hole lately looking at a few different coding agent setups (mostly through opencode), and I’ve been using the free providers but its always awful latency and terrible models.

Latency is killing me sometimes i think its hanging/dead and its really just that the cheap providers are so slow that idk if its working or not. I also think some providers are giving me the first few requests as fast and then start to nerf me over time. Maybe its an onboarding thing.

So far I’ve rotated between a few options like openrouter (for easy switching), together/fireworks, and some direct APIs like anthropic. Also tried general compute while testing a few runs, and it seemed pretty good speed-wise, but it’s still early impressions.

Atp I’m wondering if I should just bite the bullet and pay for something more consistent, because the stop-start latency is honestly worse than just slow responses.

I'm at a mid-size logistics firm and we're trying to incorporate agents to assist in routing. These LLM agents would be doing complex freight routing decisions, carrier selection, load consolidation, and other things where a bad output translates into a loss. A truck could get dispatched at the wrong dock and by the time someone notices in the ops dashboard the financial damage is already done.

It's important that I get something with decision-level tracing. That way I can see the inputs the agent saw, the reasoning path it took, and some kind of pre-execution check against known business rules like max carrier capacity before anything gets committed to our TMS. The generic LLM monitoring tools I've evaluated are built around chat use cases. None of them seemed designed for "this is about to trigger a six-figure dispatch decision, verify before commit." Is it too soon to use agents for something like this?

Hi, wondering if anyone could help me with a question I have regarding Perplexity being used as a search engine and how their results are generated. I work as a content lead for a fintech company and recently I’ve been noticing that a lower-quality competitor of ours keeps getting cited as a top source on Perplexity. We rank better overall when it comes to search engines but in this case, it seems they are doing much better with this particular LLM than we are as we don’t get cited at all.

Does anyone know why this might be? Is there something I’m missing when it comes to how these results are being generated and are there any tools that can help me see where there’s a gap between us and our competitors? I’m hoping to get our brand listed as one of the top players across all LLMs but Perplexity seems to be proving to be difficult. Any tips/guidance on where to focus in terms of content would be greatly appreciated.

I never had backpain before my surgery but now if I even hunch a bit I can feel soreness on my lower spine where I presume they injected the epidural?

I only feel comfortable if I keep my back straight. Even if I recline and is supported by pillows, curved back = dull sore pain on lower side.

Anyone else experienced this? (Still hoping this is temporary)
