Detroit MI - Termite vs wood rot or both

Hey all - quick question. Does this look like moisture and mold or termites? This wall does not have a vapor barrier (discovering this now!) and I’ve been told that it has a high moisture content. Had a mushroom on this paneling and pulled it back to see the extent of the rot. These small holes and very fine powder made me question if there was some insect activity as well. Please speculate!

Mech HVAC Prep Course Recommendations

Didn't see a rule regarding these questions.

I passed my mechanical FE a week ago and would like to take the HVAC PE relatively soon as to not lose momentum (and I really want to get it over with). I am having a hard time figuring out what the best path forward is and if this is even feasible. I would like to take the exam before the end of the year.

What are recommendations for prep material? From what I can tell the NCEES practice exam and EPG textbook + exams are recommended. I'm interested in the EPG On-Demand course as this would allow me take the pre-recorded lectures at my own pace and can accelerate the path if needed. Any strong recommendations any which way?

Thanks in advance. Trying to join the PE club!

US - Portland OR to Omaha NE via 84 and 80 - stuff along route wanted!

Hi all. Tripping with my brother later this summer from Portland to Omaha, taking 84 from OR through Idaho to Ogden, 80 from Ogden through Wyoming to Omaha. Looking to do it in about 3 days, ~8 hr driving a day and looking for stuff along the route that would be worth stopping/seeing. This will be my first time driving through the western states and am very excited. Thoughts are craters of the moon, seeing the salt lake. Would love to hear about anything nature related, cool cities to stop in, even a good restaurant along the way. Thanks all
