Is this a termite? Philadelphia Suburbs

Is this a termite? It fell on me while I was on the couch. Not sure where it fell from but I think it was dead when it hit me - did not try crawling away.

Professional Termite Treatment Failing?

Hi! We live in Phoenix AZ and last year we discovered soft spots in our wood floors. It’s an old house from the 60s with parquet wood floors that were painted black by the previous owners. The house is on top of a concrete slab, block wall construction.

At first we just thought the floors were deteriorating or had been bashed when we moved some furniture, but then my husband said “what if it’s termites?” And so I peeled back the layer of black paint, and sure enough you could see the little buggers running around.

We hired a professional company that my co-worker’s husband works for. We paid $1600 for them to drill around the perimeter, drill into the living room floor in several areas where the soft spots are, and install bait stations in several areas. I assumed it was taken care of.

Six months later, I pulled the couch out to clean the floor, and noticed the soft spots had spread even more, I peeled back a spot and sure enough still live termites. This was in an area where they had drilled. I contacted the company and they sent someone out to drill and inject poison again, the technician decided to do it on the outside wall and not in the living room, which seemed odd.

Now three months have passed, checked again and there are still visible termites. There are even more soft spots around the front door. I started painting outlines so I can tell if they get bigger. I just contacted the company to come out again.

I just wanted to ask if it’s normal to require so many treatments? The termites keep destroying more and more of our flooring. I have not found them anywhere else, but I worry they could be doing other structural damage. Luckily our walls are concrete block so they can’t eat those, but I worry about the roof and interior walls. The floors are old so we were thinking of replacing them eventually anyway, but now we might have to expedite that project because the termite damage is so bad.

Should I worry this company isn’t treating properly?

Are these termites? Please watch the very end where there is a winged one that crawls under the metal landscaping border. This is in Texas

I’m concerned these are termites, could I get some opinions and what should I do?

Baby termite?

Doing a remodel and found this on a wall. Super small and was barely noticeable. Way small than a grain of rice. This is the clearest picture I could get of it. Tried to get it and practically turned to dust when I touched it.

Central Florida. Termite? Or ant

Big storm in central Florida last night. Woke up to these scattered around the patio.

This patio was poured 2 weeks ago and had a termite treatment under the exact areas where the corpses now lay.

This is also the area where I sprayed with home defense last week as there were ants in the area.

Did the treatment do its job or should I have the whole house done now.

Southern CA, noticed some damage on the floor. It’s not soft or wobbly around or inside. Could this be termites or pests?

It’s shiny because my mom sprayed some bug stuff on it out of precaution. I’m thinking we should get underneath the floor to see if it’s bad but could this be early signs of termites?

Round Rock, Texas. Found these insects after digging up the mulch-mixed soil from a potted plant

Google can't decide between springtails or termites. I haven't seen any jumping so far and a few of them have darker colored heads. I can't tell if they have pincers or not but I'm leaning more towards termites. Please help me confirm!

Termites or winged ants??

Unfortunately, these guys have cropped up in my apartment (Southern California, USA). Second pic is the bug belly-up so you can more clearly see the abdomen. Gonna get it checked out, but hoping they’re not termites!

Thanks in advance!!!

Indiana, found crawling across bathroom floor

It is a bit squished so it's maybe hard to ID. 1/4 in long including wings when closed. Our house was treated for termites before we bought it several years ago, am I paranoid or is this a termite??

Thoughts? South Carolina

Found dead near the wall. We do have regular pest control, so I figured this could be a few crawled in and died, but just curious on thoughts. Don't see others and don't see poop. Pest control comes quarterly.

Attract termite

As the title states, I am genuinely interested to know what are the things that attracts termites into the house? As a new home owner, I want to avoid doing the mistakes. Thanks!!! For Australia

Google and I only know so much

Google says termite swarmer. Southeastern PA. Doesn't look anything like native termites. Can't decide what else it could be, but we just bought this place, and I'm already neck deep in projects. Only saw this one. No wings or piles of dead ones. He was hanging out on my kitchen island.

I haven't noticed any termite damage. There was several places where rotted wood was found, certainly water damage on the rim joists. The siding on this place is horrible. Other than that there was some mold found.

In the past weeks I've gutted a third of the underbelly and pulled out a couple sheets of drywall for some mold remediation. Even peaked into the attic. Have not found anything to make me worried about termites. Mobile home if it matters. With the A/C and dehumidifier going, indoor RH is about 45% if that makes a difference. No current water leaks I'm aware of.

Any help appreciated.

ID help maybe, I think I've got some small furniture termites of some kind. FL Gulf Coast

One piece of furniture has them and recently we started seeing these in the window periodically. I thought they were ants until I found the termite poo by the furniture.

Termite Activity after treatment. Southern Arizona, in master bedroom wall

Hello,

We performed Termidor termicide treatment in multiple parts of house with termite activity, then had Sentricon stakes placed, in early April. Have a warranty in place. Today saw these trails on top of new drywall and painted wall. I know it can take up to 90 days for treatment to be fully active. Is this something to worry about? I did call and leave a message with exterminator company. Waiting to hear back but it’s a holiday weekend. Thanks for the advice!
