I've been on a big rock hunting kick and scored a few weeks ago. So many geodes! So many air plants! Now they're together at last. All the air plants are sitting on the rocks, unattached, so I can water them weekly. What do you think?

Geode I found in central Kentucky.
This is where the majority of my begonias are. I put any that I've propogate in here and they thrive. I keep babies in here to hand out as gifts to visitors. It's been a lot of fun!
3rd pic is a pot that I put some propogated leaves into that have grown into lovely plants. 3 varieties chilling together.
A local used art supply store acquired thousands upon thousands of these geological quadrangular maps. You could take as many as you wanted for a donation!
Check out your state geological survey to order some. Besides being fascinating, they're beautiful and printed on nice paper.

I just finished Childhood's End. The part involving the human children reminded me of another story I read but can't place it.
I can't remember if it was a novel or short story but in it the young children would disappear occasionally and we're going somewhere the parents couldn't go. A different universe/reality/domension. Someplace pleasant and exciting. Eventually the kids disappeared and didn't come back and the parents had to accept it.
Goodwill always sparks memories.

I've had tons of river rock delivered and some days I dog though the rocks for some neat ones. My favorites are the fossils I find. Mainly coral and brachiopods etc. But what's this one? Any ideas?
