Which boat would you pick Lund SSV-14 15hp or Lund predator 1650 8hp

my heart is telling me I need the Predator , that interior is beautiful and it looks to be built like a tank. The only issues are it's 3hrs away and it comes with only 8hp Honda. On the other hand the ssv-14 is local and has the 15 so I would be cruissssin.... both are 3000$ and come with extras.

I know if I end up going to get predator I'm going to want to invest another couple grand into a more powerful motor (holds up to 60hp)

I live in the northeast and would be using it for fishing and cruising well into the late fall if possible.. please talk me into or out of the 6 hr round trip. 😬😬😬

Boat identification help

Going to look at this boat later the back left corner says sylvan and the left side classic fisherman. But I cannot see anything online in regards to what make and model boat this might.

Ai told be a late 80s Grumman. They are asking 3600 for this setup with a 2 stoke mercury 25hp

Also Bonus points if you tell me what a tuna canoe is

would this make a good first boat?

currently in the market to buy a used aluminum or fiberglass fishing boat with a 3500 budget and i'm going to check this boat and a few other ones this week..

this particular one has a 30HP tiller which, to me, for the money seems like a decent deal..and quite fun compared to a lot of the 9.9s on the market for the same price but also a bit concerning seeing that there are smaller motors going for the same price if not more $$

the listing does say the console part was taken out to optimize for fishing. should that be concerning? i really dont mind not having a console & would actually prefer a tiller handle motor...

opinions on a older tohatsu 4 stroke??

what other things should i inspect when going to check out this boat & motor?? the trailer definetely seems to need some TLC..

primary uses would be hudson/mohawk river, lakes in the Adirondacks for fishing

located upstate NY

thanks

Constraining dimensions to mulitple lines while executing a stretch command

i am not entirely sure if i'm going to be able to communicate what i'm trying to achieve so please bear with me...

my design team does many many drawing and PDFS of pool layouts daily (50+) for customers to quote, build pools, and order liners off of.. one challenge we've faced since i've taken over the team has been updating a profile view (vertical section) in addition to a plan view (top down view)...

Although its very simple to execute, it can become an after thought and often gets overlooked or forgotten about when changing the interior specs of a swimming pool design as our turnaround time is less than a day to update drawings...

The problem is, that pool builders reference the side profile to excavate the ground and do concrete work whereas liner manufacturers make the liner off of the plan view. i know its pretty easy and simple to just execute another stretch command to match the views, but i wanted to dig further into CAD limitations and see if there is a way to essentially "LINK" or constrain lines (with measurements) together to basically make this simple mistake impossible for the team to make...

im going to attach a screen recording here to show you a little bit of the steps it takes to update both views... i know there are easy 2 step methods to make both views show the same dimensions but my desire is that when we stretch one, for example the side profile view, the dimensions and lines on the TOP view get stretched also. is this even possible?

if this is of any help, our drawings are never to scale, and we only use 1 view port when setting them up in the paper space

thanks

How bad is this??

Went to look at this in person today , and to me , it seems like this boat could have some potential underlying rot. The hull crack and weeping is definitely my main concern. Seller states that the plywood is on top of the boat bottom. It was very soft to the touch. Should I steer clear if I'm looking for minimal repair work? Thanks

Primitive campsite Boat access only

Hey guys in the process of purchasing a small 14' motorboat with a 9.9 motor on it. I'm looking for some options on smaller, or even medium size lakes, lakes that I can bring my boat to and Boat to a campsite for the night anyone wants to share some of their favorite lakes to camp at I'll keep the secret between us. I live in the Clifton Park area so three hours driving max would be ideal. Thanks in advance.

And I guess a bonus question, what are some pros/cons of being able to boat into a designated primitive campsite?

Best boat choice for under 5k

All right guys I posted about trading my 97 Ford Ranger for a boat yesterday.…
I really appreciate everyone's comments and feedback on steering me away from buying a row boat for $5500…

I attached a couple of additional options that are within my price range and I'm just wondering which would be the best bang for the buck and most useful during the summer months here in upstate New York. I haven't owned a boat in over 10 years, but I'm itching to be on the water again. The goal is fishing, chilling, and island camping in the Adirondacks.

The first 2 peak my interest the most , Let me know what y'all think.

Are these boats fun / good?

Hey guys, I currently live in upstate New York. I've been wanting to trade my 1997 five speed low miles 2wd Ford Ranger for either a boat or a camper. I see this one available and the guys down for a trade. I'm just curious to know if these boats are any good?? the Boat and Motor and Trailer all seem relatively new, but I am unsure of any potential pricing on something like this slightly used.
looking for something small I can fish with and putt putt around in the lakes here in upstate New York. it'll primarily just be my wife and I in the boat

Also added image of the truck for sale

Update:

I appreciate all the input and feedback. I think I'm going to look around more for something cheaper or something nicer… and def sell the truck for cash. I will potentially post a few options to help me make a good decision for my new boat.

Leather saddle question

Hi guys, I recently just put this used BELT leather saddle on a new to me bike. is it just me or are these things a bit hard/uncomfortable ??? I think I prefer a gel saddle. This leather one just feels really bony and hard. I did a light 3 miles test ride.
Maybe I need to adjust it slightly, but it is about level slightly tilted forward.
Any recommendations super helpful thanks
