Not invited
Today there was a surprise party thrown for the boss.
I was rhe only one not invited.
Backstory:
Over the past while, I expressed interest in advancing into a different position at work. I believed that was going to be granted but a miscommunication with the boss proved they didnt plan on changing my role. Shortly afterward, "Lavender" was given a position advancement. I told management that I was disappointed with that outcome and that I was considering looking for opportunities elsewhere. Then, when a surprise birthday party was organized for our boss, "Lavender" was responsible for inviting everyone, and I was the only employee who was not invited. When i found out, "Lavender" said she had simply forgotten to invite me. Even though ive been with the company longer than her. Individually, each of these events may have an explanation. Taken together, however, they have left me feeling overlooked, excluded, and questioning my place on the team.
Id also like to add that shortly after being promoted, Lavender gave notice and took a job elsewhere. Their last day is in 3 days.
