How to chew with expander bubbles?
My son got braces today with an expander and they put little blue "bubbles" on each side of the expander to prevent his lower teeth from hitting brackets on his upper teeth. However, his back teeth now don't touch at all and he can't chew. He has been sobbing at the dinner table, spitting out food, saying it's impossible to chew and swallow. What can we do to help? Anyone have tips? We're going to be making a lot of soup, I imagine, but how can he figure out how to chew soft food with these bubbles on??
