Simple battery replacement turned into a nightmare
I go in to get my battery replaced like told by apple. Walk in with a perfectly working phone walk out with a new battery and a dead phone that won’t turn on even with up down power combo. they were at least nice and said sorry your phone gets extremely hot now no longer turns on since it died. and apple is sending a new replacement. How ever apple does Not offer shipping service to your home store only. bestbuy definitely is not on the same page as 1-800. One says great news come pick up your new phone, the other says nope we don’t have it.
to make it more frustrating since I may be without a phone for 2 weeks unless it shows up today before closing I tried getting my old Xs max working on Verizon and they seemed like idiots. Kept telling me the phone currently that’s not working has to magically start working so I can change service to my Xs max. I’m like I can’t the phone died in repair well sir we Need to send the activation code to your current phone Since it’s the one currently signed up for service we can’t text a phone not receiving service.
