I need help!!My Geekbar pulse X keeps making a clicking sound,producing smoke when I don’t suck on it,and sometimes it just doesn’t work at all.I took it apart and I didn’t see anything wrong with it on the inside except I noticed the bottom part of the Geekbar was wet and smelled like blue razz,the flavor of my Geekbar.The juice must’ve been leaking out from the bottom but it’s still at 54%.I can’t buy a new one and I have tools that I can fix it with.Someone please tell me how to fix this.

I recently moved with my family to Florida and we had to purchase a new washer and dryer. Bestbuy had a good deal on a set from GE so we ordered them on June 27th. The earliest available date they had to install the units was yesterday, July 3rd.

The delivery truck arrives and the guys unloading the dryer were having it at each other, yelling the shit out of their bodies and my kids were watching them fighting (we ended up moving them to the backyard). They come, install the dryer and then tell me they did not bring the washing machine. I get a call from Bestbuy customer service saying they could come today (July 4th) and now I was told the earliest date they have available is July 10th.

Now I am home with my wife, 2 kids and have no way to do our laundry because of someone else’s incompetence and Bestbuy’s inability to fulfill their order. This is the first and last time I use their service or purchase anything from this company.

The tv weighs about 123.5 pounds.

The full motion mount seems way too unstable.

Is it even worth it to get a tilt mount? Is it less stable than a fixed? I understands the back of the tv may be more accessible with a tilt mount.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I have a desk job with a lot of downtime and im going back for my masters this fall. As someone who hasn't had a laptop since middle school, what is a good laptop that wont be loud, will run fast, and maybe play some games like TFT in my spare time?

No idea what a good budget is for this, so take it with a grain of salt, but my budget is around $1,000-$1,500. I have windows OS on everything and would prefer to keep it that way if they have good laptops.... but I know Apple (unfortunately) seems to be dominating the laptop space. Any advice is appreciated!

Is there any other fix for this ? I have a cooling pad but it doesn’t really help much. I was wondering would I be able to bring it in and maybe get the thermal paste renewed and the cooling cleaned and etc ?

I own three Oculus Rift S. I have two functional cables. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Meta Horizon several times. I’ve tried several USB ports. I’ve tried every single one of my Display Ports. I’ve tried changing my lighting conditions. I’ve tried making sure Nvidia/Windows settings are disabled/enabled where they need to be. Nothing works.

I’m stuck with the headset on a black loading screen, and the app telling me the headset sensors are unable to track movement. I’ve tried with all three. I’ve determined that it’s got to be a software issue. I’ve eliminated everything else.

It all started happening with a Meta Horizon Update three weeks ago. I can’t get support on their website (you’ve got to jump through a bunch of hoops, and the last step is entering the serial number of your product, and it doesn’t work. You can’t go any further without it), and the Forums have nothing relevant from the last six months. I need help. Any help.

I go in to get my battery replaced like told by apple. Walk in with a perfectly working phone walk out with a new battery and a dead phone that won’t turn on even with up down power combo. they were at least nice and said sorry your phone gets extremely hot now no longer turns on since it died. and apple is sending a new replacement. How ever apple does Not offer shipping service to your home store only. bestbuy definitely is not on the same page as 1-800. One says great news come pick up your new phone, the other says nope we don’t have it.

to make it more frustrating since I may be without a phone for 2 weeks unless it shows up today before closing I tried getting my old Xs max working on Verizon and they seemed like idiots. Kept telling me the phone currently that’s not working has to magically start working so I can change service to my Xs max. I’m like I can’t the phone died in repair well sir we Need to send the activation code to your current phone Since it’s the one currently signed up for service we can’t text a phone not receiving service.

Hello everyone, i recently applied to work as a geek squad agent and in the case i do get accepted, what are some basics i should already know? I am in a paid IT intership at my school so i think i know the simple stuff but we mostly deal with school issued dell chromebooks so i dont want to start working and not know what im getting in to yaknow?

Any tips, videos, or really anything would be appreciated, thanks!!

(Ps, does being in a IT internship in highschool boost my chances greatly or is that something common in this field....)

Apple retail technician here. I’ve had a bunch of customers come in stating that geek squad can no longer support Apple approved repairs. Is this true? Any additional context y’all can provide me?

I already bought an $1700 laptop from a seller, and it works fine. The seller went to Best Buy and was told the 2-year Total Tech coverage does not transfer, but it still has a valid Total Tech warranty, and I paid through PayPal.

I know the original coverage probably won’t transfer to me, and I’m wondering: can I buy a new warranty or protection plan for it as the new owner, or can the seller buy the transferable warranty while it’s still valid?

I know it can stay on the seller’s account, but if something happens later, any credit or payout would still go to them, and I’m a little hesitant about that.

The laptop was originally bought from Best Buy and was purchased more than Jan 21, 2026.

I have a Samsung TV model QN65QN90DAFXZA I bought it July 15 2024 and a 2 year Geek Squad plan. Within the last month it has developed an approximate 6X4 inch circular area that is very dark and right of center. Google says it's Mini-LED backlight array failure. I paid $2,299.99. I've been doing some research and I think I'd like to get a Sony Bravia 7 II, so I'm kind of hoping the Samsung gets junked due to the cost of replacing the Mini-LED backlight array. Do you think they'll junk it due to cost of replacement/repair? I have an upcoming appointment.

At what point does the ACL "major failure" for products become an actual point which you can use to either get a replacement or refund?

For my example: I bought this laptop (worth about 4500) around 4 months ago. I had to get the keyboard replaced because it stopped working for a few keys and it is having graphics issues (screen tearing, fragmentation, artifacts) on games as well as the GPU being capped at 115W max due to a mix of software errors from HP updates and windows being windows. And I am seeing a decent bit of browning of the charger which is a bit concerning. As well as a few other issues that support said was most likely due to software issues that are common in some of their models.

So at what point is this considered a major failure and how to differetiate? And for the laptop I am fine with warranty but I would much better like a replacement because this thing has been spouting troubles left and right for a while now.

Might be mean, but this job makes me realize how dumb people are. I’m astonished people will want us to do a PC setup. Like that task literally spoon feeds you how to do it. Or a password reset, or software install. I understand old people are scared of tech sometimes but at the same time it makes me wonder how did they get it this far in life? It’s simple things I feel like if they can’t learn, it’s very concerning. It makes me appalled these people can vote too lol
