10% service fee added to the the bill (Mozambik, Camps Bay)? Is this the norm? It was a table for 5. And the saddest part is that the service wasn’t great - food arrived lukewarm, my “warm” plate arrived >5mins before the food.

Has this service fee replaced the gratuity that wasn’t duly given to employees?
I’ve been a long time patron of this restaurant.
At the Waterfront branch, they hurry you so much. Literally pick up your plates while you’re still finishing up your food.

I need a better seafood restaurant recommendation.

Overcharged for items at Clicks in Garden Centre

Just be sure to check your receipts. I purchased three items and two of them scanned for more than the price on the shelves. It wasn’t a lot more; like R2-3 more but still.

A psychic gave me an incredibly specific description of a guy in Joburg. Is this a real person or a ghost? 🕵️‍♀️

Hey everyone,
Throwaway account for obvious reasons because this sounds entirely unhinged, but I need the Reddit hivemind.

I’m a 40ish female living comfortably in Cape Town. Recently, a psychic gave me a wildly specific description of a guy they claim is my match. I don't want to be a stalker, and I’m definitely not a gold digger (my own financial status matches this profile), but the curiosity is killing me. I just want to see if this person actually exists in the wild.

Here is the blueprint I was given:

Location: Johannesburg

Age: 40+

Profession: Medical professional focusing strictly on aesthetics (so likely a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, or an aesthetic GP with a high-end clinic).

Background: Comes from a medical family (siblings are also likely doctors).

Education: Studied at Wits or UP (the clue was "big four university, not close to the sea") around the early 2000s. He has also trained overseas.

Joburg is massive, but the premium aesthetic medicine circle is surprisingly small. Without giving away any patient confidentiality, does a guy fitting this specific "medical family + aesthetic specialist + Wits/UP alum" profile actually exist up there, or did my psychic just watch too much Grey's Anatomy?

If this rings a bell, how does one even cross paths with this crowd without faking a sudden need for Botox?

Cheers from the coast!🥂
