Chandan's jokes were repetitive, punching down, very comedy-night-with-kapil-ish (fatshaming, homophobic, gharelu bhindi jokes that my parents probably would enjoy)

I think a lot of people liked him because he was soft-spoken and he probably has nostalgic value attached to him. Also, the shock value that someone from a clean comedy background is doing such jokes might be entertaining.

None of the panelists in the episode were funny including Samay cracking the chai joke over and over again. Meh.
