Elementor 4.0.8 Vulnerable JS Library: swiper 8.4.5

Hi all

A quick scan from HostedScan showed that Elementor is using an outdated swiper js library in the Image Carousel plugin.

Is there any plan to update this library to something newer? Latest version is v12.1.4, the one that Elementor is delivering is 4 years old.

Elementor is used in a lot of paid instances, so they should put the required resources to update that library and make sure no vulnerabilities exist in their official plugins set.

Hi all

I've recently got a ER703WP-4G-Outdoor for testing, which seemed to be a nice piece of hardware, but I'm having some issues about how to configure it.

First, out of the box you can only power it with PoE. So, if you wanted to have this unit as a single standalone one (so 4G internet, and then wired or WiFi LAN) you're missing the power adapter.

You can use a PoE injector, or a cheap single isolated PoE switch to power it. Just remember that this unit comes with all wired ports set to LAN, so with the default factory settings, the ER703WP-4G will start giving DHCP addresses into whatever network it's connected to.

One significant case is if you wanted to use it as a backup 4G connection within your gateway. Most gateways don't provide PoE through their WAN ports, so you would have to connect to a PoE switch, with its own VLAN. So, to connect it to the ER605 as backup connection, you'll need:

- A PoE switch to connect the ER703WP-4G PoE-In port to. Lets configure that port in a newly created VLAN named "99-4GBACKUP"
- Configure another port in that 99-4GBACKUP VLAN in the switch and connect that port to the secondary WAN port on the ER605.

On a ER7212PC, you'll use one WAN port and two LAN ports just to hook this unit up.

Third case, somehow you've got a wired connection from a third party (just a single ethernet cable) and you want to provide a failover 4G connection to whichever setup, but you want the ER703WP-4G as the main gateway. So, you'll need 2 cables to:

- Configure the ER703WP-4G PoE-In port as WAN, and set it as primary
- Get a PoE switch to connect the ER703WP-4G PoE-In port to. Configure that port in a newly created VLAN named "101-FIBER"
- Configure another port in that 101-FIBER VLAN in the switch and connect that port to the wired internet connection from the third party
- Connect one of the ER703WP-4G remaining LAN ports to any of the remaining LAN ports on the switch.

Finally, just remember that Omada doesn't allow to have two gateways on the same site. So, you'll be better managing this unit either standalone or through Omada Central.

Performance wise is a nice unit, but the setup isn't as straighforward as one might think. You'll be tempted to use a TP-Link Archer MR600.

The wishlist: TP-Link should just allow on the gateways with PoE ports (like ER7212PC) to use any of them as WAN port, or either have new gateway models with a PoE WAN port. Also, they should make it somehow that the unit can be managed through the same Omada site as the backup link unit.

Any experiences on this unit?
