Finally upgraded the old 2006 1000SL. It’s a solid bike with a modern groupset and carbon wheels, but these new Domane’s are hard to beat.

Finally upgraded my 2006 1000SL to something newer. Excuse the reflectors and dork disk lol. These new Domane’s are so nice.

Going to try out some Superteam carbon wheels for a bit. Reviews seem to fair in their favor pretty well. I don’t do any crazy downhills so I’m not super concerned with overheating the braking surface. I’m sure the factory trek wheels I had weren’t holding me back, but I wanted to give carbon and run to see how I liked it.

Bike is a 2006 1000 SL. Upgraded with an 11 speed 105 groupset and brakes.
