Enagament Ring- Help Needed
My girlfriend and I are designing her engagement ring. This is the exact concept we want with a 4 Carat marquise diamond. The band would start at 4.5mm at the bottom and taper to 2.5mm at the top( taper starts 3/4 of the way up to create a pinch look) Band height would be 1.7-1.8mm(14k gold). Some jewellers have told us this wouldn’t be strong enough especially with the gap underneath. Could everyone give me there thoughts and opinions on if it should be fine?
