Rant from a your local blader here
Hi Filipino blader here. I started this hobby 1 year ago and the difference from 1 year ago to today is night and day. This hobby got effectively infiltrated by scalpers that just normal people are selling their beys for insane prices.
I get it PBBL season is about to start and people wanna jump in and make money but when its more about the money than the actual game for you then what's the point why not just look for a stable job instead of flipping your sharkscales that you claim being in 9/10 condition when it's actually fucking rounder than wizard rod?
Idk maybe it's the mindset of people here like I know everyone is just trying to survive with how fucked our economy is here that it feels like each time you breathe the government taxes you and you need that extra income but it gets to a certain point that it feels tiring to see. Everyone is selling their beys doing their quitting sale/decluttering sale/ FUCKING BIDDING. Then I'll see the same ass names pop up buy everything then resell it a day after.
Maybe it's my algorithm forcing me to see alot of posts in the marketplace with insane prices. But have you even seen BrachioWhip in the shelves??? And why does every bankee event have so much fucking people just take out a whole shelf of beys??? Like is that even normal in hobbies?? When will it even end??
I'm usually a introvert and prefers to stay at home in weekends and just play video games. When I started getting into local tournaments I feel like im finally getting out of my comfortzone and actually talk to other people and of course Ive met alot of good people in the scene. Made alot of new friends too. But the environment of the scene continues to deteriorate for me the hobby prices out alot of people.
The Beyblade X situation in the Philippines is crazy.
A fight almost broke out over beyblade btw. Also the scalpers are so shamless at the end. The other guy is showing how much beys he bought just to flip them for profit. Disgusting. I hope they get karma.

Probably the most unemployed thing I've seen.
Yesterday there was a Bankee event in SM Makati, Philippines where they were restocking some beys.
As you can see these are my fellow filipinos but ive heard reports some are just middle men for foreign scalpers (which is pathetic btw). They picked the stock clean and left the undesired beys on the shelves.
Some dont event have the decency to wait for before they get home and resell the beys in the second photo this guy just straight up displayed the beys on the parking lot and posted it in a secondhand buy/sell facebook group.
Third photo (credits to AniViu) is just a bleak sighting man. What has happened to this hobby?
Beyblade when its my turn to get into the hobby:
For context it's almost 300$
