Ideas for modifying the Dream Air strap, which you use?

Cheapest: Cushion + Velcro on the original Dream Air strap.

Best value: Use a Quest strap that fits the Dream Air strap automatically (like the Bobo M3)—but which one?

Most proven: Bobo M3 Pro; there’s a clear explanation of how it attaches directly, though the strap includes a battery, so it might be heavier.

Most expensive/complex: Vision Pro Dual Knit + 3D-printed adapters.

put photos here of you modification please

Dream air owners: How does The World scale and stereoscopic depth compare do ano Quest3/PSVR2?

I’m considering buying a Pimax Dream Air, and there’s one specific aspect of VR immersion that I’m trying to understand from people who actually own one.

I currently use both a Quest 3 and a PSVR2 for PCVR. When comparing them, I find the PSVR2 considerably more immersive overall.

It’s not really about FOV. When I compare them directly, the overall horizontal and vertical FOV feels fairly similar to me.

What changes is the perceived scale and dimensionality of the virtual world.

On PSVR2, objects seem to have a more natural physical size and volume. Rooms feel larger and more like real spaces, and objects feel more solid and “present” in front of me.

On Quest 3, I sometimes feel like the world is slightly compressed or miniaturized — almost as if objects are being scaled down a little to fit inside the view.

I know binocular overlap may be part of this, since PSVR2 has better overlap than Quest 3, but I understand that world scale can also be affected by stereo projection, IPD, optical magnification, distortion profiles, eye-to-lens distance, etc.

So for people who have actually used the Dream Air:

How does the perceived world scale compare to Quest 3 and PSVR2?

Do objects feel naturally sized and physically present, or does the world have that slightly compressed/miniaturized feeling I sometimes get from Quest 3?

And regarding stereoscopic depth, does the Dream Air feel closer to PSVR2 or Quest 3?

I’m especially interested in comments from people who have directly compared the Dream Air with either of those headsets.

My priorities are basically:

* strong immersion and convincing world scale

* good stereoscopic depth / binocular integration

* very high image clarity

* stable image during head movement

* good colors, contrast and blacks

What I’m really trying to understand is whether the geometry and perceived scale of the virtual world on the Dream Air feel natural and immersive.

Also, if you changed the facial interface or moved your eyes closer to the lenses, did that

change the FOV or sense of immersion?

Thank you and sorry for the big message 😄
