2026 Fall trip
I just saw a post here on the same subject and people were saying “it’s too early to be dreaming of fall”🤣🤣 So I apologize in advance.
Me and a friend are going to start planning a trip to michigan this fall and I will check back in later in the summer but I’m just looking for a few pointers as we start to plan. We’re both from southern wisconsin area so we get salmon and trout but our fisheries are not quite the same as you guys. We’re looking to do some early king fishing in the rivers sometime end of august—early september. We don’t have a boat but we’re prepared to hike and camp. Not asking anyone to give up their honey hole, but what should we look for in terms of river systems and areas where we can do this sort of trip? Just a couple of young anglers who want to learn all we can about salmon/trout fishing in the great lakes and have a good time.
