I built an interactive Nordschleife corner map while chasing all gold in GT7

I was constantly watching guide videos to learn tricks, and at the same time I wanted to know what all the different corners were called. Existing resources were useful, but they were usually either flat maps or long video explanations, which made it hard to follow the lap section by section.

So I made an interactive Nordschleife corner map:

It includes corner names, German names, English translations, short origin notes and some photos.

I also want to thank the many existing resources I used while building this. The reference links are listed in the About section on the site, including corner-name articles, track guides, videos, and photo sources. This project is more of a curated/interactive way to study them than a replacement for those original sources.

Would love feedback from people who know the track well, especially if any placement, name, translation, or historical detail is off.

I shipped my first iOS app: a niche G-force tracker for driving

It’s called TraceG — a small iPhone app that turns your phone into a private G-meter for driving.

It records lateral and longitudinal G-force, then adds speed as a third axis, so you can see how acceleration, braking, and cornering change across different speed ranges.

It’s not a lap timer or racing score. I built it more as a local-first driving instrument for people who enjoy feeling the road and seeing the data behind it.

The App Store review went smoother than expected. I only had to provide extra review materials, and the only real issue was mixing up one ID during IAP setup.

The hardest part wasn’t reading sensor data — it was calibration, visualization, and explaining what G-force even means. Most of my friends didn’t really get it. The sports car people did.

Would love to hear your thoughts — does the idea make sense at first glance, or is there a better way to explain it?

Have you tried the Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak at night?

I was 20 minutes into a 1-hour race at Spa when it started getting dark… and that’s when I realized this car’s headlights are completely fake.
