The study linked in the article has some interesting data and findings like the fact that deer come out more during daylight in areas where cats live, thus we can see and avoid them, not like back east where deer vs car is often fatal. A detailed study with topics like "Puma effects on ungulate spatio-temporal habitat use"
Does that explain why I've never seen any elk on 101 in Sequim?
