Study done on OP shows cougars cut deer vs car interactions by 2/3

No shit. Interesting story though.

The study linked in the article has some interesting data and findings like the fact that deer come out more during daylight in areas where cats live, thus we can see and avoid them, not like back east where deer vs car is often fatal. A detailed study with topics like "Puma effects on ungulate spatio-temporal habitat use"

Does that explain why I've never seen any elk on 101 in Sequim?

Shopping at AAFES

It's been posted before but...

You may know that veterans with ANY VA disability rating (0-100%) can shop on base at commissary or exchange/BX/PX/AAFES. They also have appliances available through Home Depot.

My garage fridge crapped out and I remembered this fact. Same fridge delivered... $840 on home depot app and $720 using AAFES. No sales tax or delivery charges, plus price was $10 cheaper than in store.

Leonardo Express Warning

Wife and I were traveling from Termini to FCO and tapped to pay at the gate, I with my phone, wife with her card. Both had a bit of trouble getting the payment to take and the gates finally beeped and let us each through. While traveling a fare inspector hit us up, my payment showed on my phone but the wife's didn't show on her card's app - I asked the young gentlemen "why did the gates open if a payment never registered?" He politely shrugged and checked back on us twice before the trip ended, the payment never never showed up...bottom line €50 fine.

Funny enough, her payment still hasn't showed up two weeks later, guess he was right, ha! Still, gate malfunction cost me!

Should have used the app to get tickets, my bad. Bottom line always use either Treinitalia or Italo app or some other way of CYA!
