I'm going to be moving down to WA and am taking a little exploration trip next month. Should we stay in Bremerton, Silverdale, or Port Orchard? I'll have my wife and 3 kids, looking for family friendly places to stay and activities for the kids, 13, 5, and 1.

We will also be spending 3 days in PA and 2 days in Olympia. Kitsap county is on our list as well for a possible relocation thats why we're are looking for suggestions.

Just got my MMC, and want to work with Washington State Ferries, or the Kitsap ferry. My brother currently works for WSF but says he doesn’t have any insight as to when they will hire. Anyone know when either of these ferries will be hiring and how I can apply? Thanks!

I finally realized Teresa Fox’s campaign page blocked me. Why? She made an inflammatory claim, cited a source, and I asked for clarity on where in the report she found the statistic to back up her claim.

I’m miffed because I wasn’t rude or nasty or demeaning. It wasn’t a gotcha. It was me saying “here’s a screenshot from the report you cited, what am I missing?” I’m disappointed, though maybe not surprised, that someone running for public office wouldn’t engage her constituents in an honest conversation about (allegedly) fact-based claims. I’m pissed that someone who wants to live on our dime would make a false claim, present it as fact, and then block anyone who questions the lie.

Can I encourage everyone here to be the nerd and read the citations? Because I’m struggling with the idea that these politicians think we’re idiots and we’re not.

Again, I normally don’t post about this stuff because I think “what’s the point? Everyone’s a bot.” But maybe some NK citizens will see this and think twice about believing her claims. Anyone’s claims, really.

If you’re interested, she claimed a certain percentage of homicides in Washington were perpetrated by undocumented immigrants in 2024 and I could not find any of this info in the report. Screenshot in the comments.

I have a 22 foot box truck that is 12’ tall for my business. Is there anywhere around here that can do regular maintenance on something that big? I tried the dealership and they said I’d have to drive it to Tacoma.

Tried to call the non-emergency line to report potential fire near me (smelled it last night and again this morning) and couldn’t get past what seemed to be an AI. That’s extremely frustrating. AI should not be used to report issues like that. You can’t trust it to do its job correctly or to transcribe appropriately.

At the very least, there should be the option to transfer to a real person. Shame on them.

Proposal to tax $125,000 with a 5% excise tax. Reading it the idea is to implement the tax due to HR1. Really frustrating seeing national republicans reduce programs (Medicare/food stamps) to then burden states to stand up this type of program started by democrats trying to protect medical access for those that would lose benefits. Add onto this the cost of living, insurance premium jumps, new levies, etc. both sides are punching us in the gut.

UPDATE: Lets talk about it! I’m trying to see if folks are happy with how things are or if there is a desire for compromise.

I moved here because of the cost of living and easy accessible fast commute to seattle. But that’s about to change with half of the fast ferry sailings going away due to state funding. I feel like this is a huge deal and I haven’t heard much rumbling about it.

Dear Petsmart:

I would like to take this opportunity to bring a biohazard/health hazard to your attention! There is a water main leak at the front of your property at 9589 Ridgetop Blvd in Silverdale WA. It has been leaking for two weeks and is growing mold and algae all over the area.

Additionally, there is dog urine and feces all along the posts on the building in the front where customers have to walk through to get into the store. I work next door and am subjected to having to walk through this horror show daily.

The managers at the location are well aware of the situation and have not seen fit to clean this mess up, and we are left with a stinking disgusting mess to wade through morning and night.

Please Petsmart, clean up your property immediately and stop being a BAD NEIGHBOR and a BAD BUSINESS!!

I urge customers to cease shopping at your facility until this hazard is removed.

With preseason starting, im stoked to watch my eagles get back on the field 🦅! I am not from here and have absolutely no idea which bars/pubs are known to consistently stream games that don’t include local teams. Anyone have any recommendations for north kitsap?

I’m relocating to Seattle-ish (Bremerton) from Cincy. Target date is Nov. 1, but subject to change to sooner depending on details. I’m bringing a small stockpile of Skyline with me. We bought an EV car this week after being carless for 10 years. Before buying, we took a note of local chargers until we could get an at home charger installed.

Kitsap Mall had EV chargers in front of the Dick's Sporting Goods. Right? We drove by there tonight and couldn't find them. Were they removed?

We're aware there's Tesla chargers at the Target across the street, but we don't yet have a Tesla adapter.

Hi, I'm an 18 year old Kitsap county resident.
I took drivers ed a few years back, and have since passed my state knowledge test easily. My only issue as of now are the geriatric, uncommunicative, impatient and just rude driving instructors who proctor road tests. I have ADHD as well as PTSD, and I'm not sure if genuine bullying is the key to success for me (or literally anyone).

Everyone I've spoken to had bad luck with defensive (ie "Pam"), I did coastline which didn't work out, and 911 doesn't offer a WA state skills test (correct me if I'm wrong)

Is there anything I could do to combat this? Any alternatives? Contrasting insights?

After my most recent teeth cleaning my current dentist wouldn't make me another appointment until 2027. They say they are so booked up they can't schedule new appointments. They put me on a call list if they have an availability. I want to change dentists. Does anyone have any recommendations in Bremerton or Silverdale? I might look anywhere in Kitsap but Bainbridge

Our 11 year old Aussie just injured her leg and we’re fearing she tore her CCL. She tore her other one 5 years ago and we had the TPLO done then but we were living in a different state then.

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations around here or in Seattle/Tacoma with an orthopedic practice?

Hey everyone.

This is a kind of embarrassing thing for me, but I'm trying to put pride aside. My mother runs a home daycare and is looking for new clients.

She doesn't accept state pay and is fully licensed. She has a Winnie account and another site whose name I don't remember.

I'm trying to help her advertise as best I can, but she doesn't know much about social media and I try to keep my social media presence very minimal. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can help her?
