Lots of Asian cruises

FYI, there's now a lot of Asian cruise rewards from Royal Caribbean, leaving out of Hong Kong and mostly Shanghai. Lots of variety and varying durations but only makes sense if you already live near there. "Free" but pay taxes, gratuities, port fees, etc.

Any tips to catch a mouse that is right in front you?

After being mouse free for 15+ years, a couple of mice have appeared recently in front of me that I was able to kill. My recent examples:

  1. Saw one on top of a bunch of towels, then it scurried between the towels. I grabbed the towels, squished them together, it got out, but I was able to throw a towel on top of it and stomped all over the towel. Got a dead mouse and slightly bloody towel.

  2. Saw one in the middle of room. I thought I would try something different as I wasn't convinced a towel would work again, so I grabbed a bucket and slammed it over the mouse, but the edge of the bucket caught the mouse and it was killed, but not in the way I planned.

I've now put out traps and sealed entrance points, eliminated food, etc. but does anyone have tips if I actually SEE one the next time, especially if it's on furniture or something besides the floor? Throwing a towel on it or using a bucket only works if it's on the floor and you can't really see where it is underneath the towel so it can get away. I was thinking of using my shop vac, but I would need to get the hose really close to the mouse, plus I'll need to really seal up the shop vac...
