I’m making this stay/corset for my day. She wants to wear it at an upcoming Renaissance festival. I’m a bit rusty and and insufferable perfectionist so am wondering if… is there a magic trick to get the bias fold trim around the tight curves?

I had considered running a basting stitch along the curve (similar to what you would do to ease in a sleeve cap) but is there another option?

I snipped the edge of the bias tape to help with the curvature but it’s still not “perfect”. I haven’t pressed this yet, either.
