I'd like to move from classic to skate this winter and REI is running a sale on:
185 CM Fischer Aeroguide 65 Skate Skis with TURNAMIC Bindings: $250
I like the idea of doing REI for this - just wondering if 185cm is going to be ok for me just starting out - I'm 6'5" 225.
Any advice appreciated. This would be my first season for skate and I was never very good at classic - so need something easy.
I've been using a Mevo for about 2 years with IOS and no problems until this season. First off it takes forever to connect and get up and running. I've been using Cellular so maybe having a dedicated router would be better? God forbid it doesn't connect cause then it's another 5 or ten minutes to shut everything off and turn it back on and reconnect.
2nd the 1080 files it captures to the card are now always corrupted. I've never had a problem in the past using Premiere or Resolve to edit the .mp4 files but now they're missing all kinds of frames. I've tried a couple different cards.
I'd really like to have something that record 4k to a card and stream 720/1080 to GC.
I tried DJ osmo and Avkans but they can't do GC stream as well. Avkans video looks great and has promise but it's super buggy and the software seems designed by teenagers for their school project.
So I'm thinking run Mevo for GC and just have some other dedicated 4k cam for getting highlight clips. I don't see much alternative to Mevo for GC simplicity?
