Question about removing black coating on Titanium scales . . .
If this isn't the right place to post this I apologize, please LMK if this post should go elsewhere . . . I have a 100% black (blade/hardware/scales) knife with a "Black-washed" set of Titanium scales (not sure if it's DLC or TiCN but if I had to guess I'd say TiCN) that I'd really like to remove the "Blackwash" and just have satin/raw Ti scales, the reverse Tux look is my jam & based on what I've read some sort of media blasting (sand/pellet/etc) is the only way to do this, so my question is: Am I correct about the 'media' blasting option or is there another way or two do this, and if so what are my options? If it's the only way does anyone have a recommendation on shop / individual to do the blasting work? TIA!
