Customer had oil change done in Kentucky and now it has red oil light on.

Subaru Outback. Came to my shop in Maryland and customer stated that oil light was on. During inspection, I found that car has no oil on dipstick and after lifting up the subaru, and found that drain plug was loose and under torqued. Almost threaded out. Ended up redoing oil change and engine runs fine afterwards.

Just only an oil change

2010’s Ford Fusion (and came from Michigan.) Customer was notified that vehicle wasn’t safe and bring it to scrapyard soon as possible to drive due to allot of rust holes and including rusted out control arm that spring is pushed down. Customer drove away.

Towed in for charging system diag.

2012 Nissan rogue. Customer did stated that want to figure out why car is having charging system problem. Unclear what happened to control arm being broken off but repairs are getting done including new CV axle and new control arm plus diagnosing charging system issue. Also I’m surprised to see that control arm snapped apart despite being brand new.

Never let your kids drive parents car.

2024 Hyundai Palisades. Customer states that car pulls and steering is off ever since their kid drove car and ran over a curb.
Eventually found that rear control arm that adjusts toe is bent and needed to be replaced. Customer declined repairs and drove away.

CS: Pulls to right

Needed a new tie rod as is badly bent. Customer told my shop that he/she didn’t hit anything and believed that tow truck fucked it up as they had it towed off highway once while ago. Repairs are getting done.

Honestly, some people are really idiots.

2016 Audi A6. Seriously, whoever did work on this Audi is idiot because of leaving caliper bolts loose and twisting brake line in other side of wheel.

Warranty company denied claim.

BMW 5 series.
According to customer and service manager, he/she intentionally slashed worn tire in order to get a free new tire but warranty company denied claim due to low tread and age of tire so customer was pissed and argued towards my service manager and warrant company. At end, customer had to pay out of pocket for brand new tire. Upon dismounting, found that there was two cuts on sidewall on tire which I didn’t get pic unfortunately.

Just rolled in with no tire.

Lexus IS. Unclear why he did this but he could have put spare tire on or call a tow truck when tire got flat in first place. Either way tire got replaced.

CS: Trans slipping and acting rough.

2018 Honda Civic. Customer told my shop that her boyfriend who claims to be a mechanic (not kidding.) accidentally drained transmission fluid instead of engine oil plus he never added tranny fluid when he drained it. Customer got lucky that it didn’t do further damage to CVT transmission. Transmission ran fine after adding proper fluid level.
Also this was totally avoidable mistake as oil pan literally has a lettering in there saying
“ENGINE OIL >” and yes she got really pissed and angry that her boyfriend messed up.

I advised customer to never let her boyfriend to touch her car again in future and she told me that she will never let him work on her car again.

Still leaks after flat repair.

Whoever did last flat repair (definitely not my shop as we have no history on car.) did horrible job as it was never buffed, glued as it came out easy, and someone put bead sealer in that shit.
Tire ended up being replaced per customer request.

Customer requests trans fluid exchange.

Volkswagen Tiguan, came in for trans fluid change and oil change. Me and my other techs found engine to be running badly rough and found out that turbo is completely cooked as it’s glowing red. Customer ended up getting no work done to car once we told him that turbo is cooked.
