Sales reps, what are you guys driving?

Just got back into the industry from a roughly 10 yr hiatus. Time to go bid some roofs and land some sales.

Looking at upgrading from my grocery getter. Was planning on a newer midsize truck, but sedans still get better fuel economy.

With better collapsible ladders, is it feasible to drive around a 4 door? Is anyone in this role NOT driving some kind of pick-up or van? If anyone is driving a car, what do customer perceptions seem to be when you pull up to the house and pull a ladder out of the trunk/hatchback?

Or is it just simply better to bite the bullet on gas mileage and get the truck?

Thx

Changing employers. How does coverage remain continuous?

Changing employers. Old and new health plans are both under BCBS umbrella. How does coverage continue from one to the other once I am no longer employed and have my current benefits?

About to give 2 weeks notice... What ducks do I need to line up before leaving for new job?

I interviewed and was offered the position. In the middle of compensation negotiations.

Assuming they meet me somewhere near my counter-offer and I accept, what kinds of things do I need to get in order before leaving my current job?

I vaguely have in mind the following:

-getting my reimbursements for medical bills squared away before switching insurance plans.

- I've used up all but 1 week of PTO. They pay out 1 week of unused at end of year. Policy is not clear when leaving company.

-if they invite for an exit interview, there is some constructive criticism Ive thought about offering, BUT concerned it could sour relationship with the company if I ever needed to return to employment here, PLUS fairly confident it would fall on deaf ears anyway. So kind of thinking I'll let sleeping dogs lie.

Otherwise racking my brain to think of what other bases I need to cover before/after I give my two weeks. I don't think they will terminatee upon receiving notice. A guy with similar standing with the company but a rockier relationship finished out his two weeks last year.

Also, I corollary, from the point at which they offered me the position, what is my time window to respond with my counter offer? (It took them about 3 weeks between interview and offering the position).

Thank you for your time. This is perhaps my first truly professional interview process and I've only really ever genuinely negotiated for better compensation one other time. Very inexperienced in this area but very hopeful.
