Stopped at a local pond after a Costco run to test out some new baits for the Joey Ultralight website.
Was there less than an hour and snagged 5 bass, this being the largest.
One thing I’ve really been enjoying lately is using micro EWG hooks to make tiny soft plastics completely weedless without killing their action.
I know firsthand how hard good micro EWG hooks are to find. I remember constantly searching for them and never being able to find the right size for the bait I wanted to fish. That’s one of the main reasons I decided to carry them in multiple sizes, so you can properly match the hook to the bait instead of trying to force one size to work for everything.

Been on a huge micro/finesse kick lately and just added these new Finesse Spoons to the site.
They come in 1.5g and 2.5g with 5 different colors. Super simple but really clean looking little spoons for ultralight setups.
Honestly expecting these to move pretty quick based on how the other handcrafted/micro stuff has been doing lately.

Finally got some handmade MSK Craft Japan sinking minnows in stock.
These are hand carved balsa wood lures made in Nagano, Japan. Every lure is individually carved and hand painted, so no two are exactly alike.
MSK Craft lures are extremely hard to obtain and typically require joining a waiting list in Japan. They also do not ship to the U.S. Quantities are very limited and I honestly expect these to sell out quickly.
Definitely one of the more unique ultralight/JDM style baits I’ve been able to bring into the US.

Found these insanely cool 3.5g handmade topwater wasps from Japan and had to share them here.
The detail on these things is wild in person. Wings, segmented body, tiny props, everything. Definitely one of the most unique ultralight topwater lures I’ve come across so far.

The more I search around, the more I keep finding some really awesome lures from craftsmen all over the world. Without subs like this, there is no way I would have ever found or been able to source stuff like this.
These just came in from Indonesia. True micro wobblers right around 1g with a micro single hook. This is real finesse ultralight fishing. Stuff like this is just a ton of fun, especially when fish are pressured or you need to downsize as much as possible.
You guys have been really supportive of Joey Ultralight, so I wanted to share these here with you all first. I know a lot of you are into the micro side of things and figured you would appreciate these.
