Beginner's Boxwood

I picked up this nursery stock boxwood to practice on. I think it has an interesting trunk. The first photo is the front of the tree. Would you recommend removing the forward most branch on the left? Or even making a jin out of it? I don't know if Jin's on boxwoods is a thing.

Great Date Night Restaurants?

What is your favorite date night restaurant in the city? I know Gins Gins is a popular spot but I was hoping to explore some new spots with great food and chill atmosphere.

Repot in Summer?

I know this pom pom scotch pine isn't a proper bonsai. However, I'm guessing a lot of you work with scotch lines. I'm in zone 7a in the US. Would it be relatively safe to repot this tree in the July heat or should I wait?

Also, do you think I should wire the branch just below the top pad to lower it a bit, or is the branch too thick and mature?

I'm thinking about putting a layer of an inch or two of inorganic bonsai soil at the bottom of the planter when repotting. Advice is certainly welcome!
