we have a picture of the title of the season 1 finale of Origins and it’s titled “One Last Chance”, obviously eluding to Breeze’s death. people in the comments were saying no way Breeze dies in the first season, but i actually thought it was highly likely when i was thinking about it a little while ago. first off, it’s 18 episodes for the first season. all other power universe seasons are usually 10 episodes, so 18 gives it more room to flesh out the story and what not. so we’ll probably have more time to get to where we need to get to. second, we can assume it takes place around 2003 going based of a car’s license plate from the set. currently, raising kanan is taking place around 1993 i believe due to lou’s grave. and based on the flashback from og power, we know ghost and tommy get introduced to breeze in 1996. so from 96-03, that’s 7 years of ghost knowing breeze, which gives their relationship some growth off screen. so in origins ghost and tommy should already be established in the drug game, which in my opinion would be dumb since the point of having the show would be to see their start but that’s a different conversation. so what i had thought about before was, the first season is 18 episodes long because it’s fleshing out the story we already know and it’s getting us there in the first season so we can have the rest of the show to focus on ghost and tommy. because i was thinking why would they spend an entire series building up to something we already know is gonna happen. some people probably wouldn’t be able to focus on the story going on because they’re thinking “when’s ghost gonna kill breeze” or “when does kanan get pulled over”. and every time a season ends without either of those things, some viewers might dread watching a whole new season waiting for the same thing again. so i thought they would give us everything we know in the first season then spend the rest of the series on ghost and tommy’s own story like kanan in raising kanan. and i was thinking they end the series with ghost and tommy meeting lobos or ghost buying the club or kanan hiring pink sneakers or something.

I know a lot of people don’t like the path the MCU version of The Punisher has gone in terms of character development and even portrayal. Just basically repeating the same arc of only killing in revenge for his family and how his personality isn’t like traditional Frank, but more like Wolverine. And also pretty much everyone agrees that his best portrayal and writing is in Daredevil season 2 and maybe a bit in Born Again. But with the latest special presentation, where Frank FINALLY “becomes” the Punisher, I’m excited to his how his character is in Spider-Man. the moments from the trailer we get of Frank give me his Daredevil vibes, even though the clips are brief. First off, the main sequence we get of him in the Spider-Man trailer where he’s in the van, it gives me Daredevil season 2 gives. The way he seems a bit nonchalant and just focused on whatever task he’s doing. Similar in DD S2, he doesn’t care that Spidey is in his way, he just tries to get rid of him without killing him so he can go on with his mission. Also the part where he says “suit yourself” then shoots Spider-Man, it gives me vibes of the “Bang” moment in DD. Then on the next clip of him in the trailer where he says “You’re losin’ it kid”, even though it’s very brief like half a second, something about his vibe and delivery reminds me of him in the Born Again season 1 finale. Like i said, almost everyone agrees that his best performance and writing is in the Daredevil stuff rather than his own, so this is very promising in my opinion. Then in the leaked trailer back in december, there was a clip of Frank and Spider-Man arguing that wasn’t in the released trailer. The clip shows Frank shooting at someone and Peter says “Frank, what are you doing here?!” and Frank responds, “What am I doing here? I’m saving your ass, can’t you see that?”. That clip gave me Born Again finale vibes and also a bit of Netflix DD season 2 vibes. With Frank finally becoming actual Punisher at the end of the special and seeing these moments in Brand New Day, I’m excited to see his portrayal in Spider-Man and whatever else comes after, because Jon teased in an interview after the special that Frank will finally just be killing bad guys and being traditional Frank Castle. Idk if I’m in the minority so lmk y’all’s opinion and if you agree or not.
