Gfiber force cancelled my account without proper proof of residence from new neighbor
Yesterday, I suddenly lost internet access after my new neighbors tried to set up their GFiber account. The GFiber CSR that spoke to my neighbor approved a forced cancellation with an address that did not match the address associated with my account.
I’ve spoken to 3 different people through their support line and no one has been able to get my account back up. The person I spoke to said I would have to wait until new a new router kit is delivered to my home before I can resume service. I still have my original router and the GFiber support is saying that I can’t use those anymore.
Has anyone here dealt with this kind of situation before? I cannot understand why this issue would take any more than a couple of hours to resolve especially since Google Fiber effectively allowed a random person to cancel my service without any proof that they live here.
