Hit So Hard documentary vs book

I just finished Melissa Auf der Maur's memoir, and I was wondering if I should read Patty Schemel's. I've seen her documentary. Is there additional content in the book that's not in the documentary?

Can someone please touch trade with me? I need Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt to complete my Blueberry Pokédex. I'll give them back right away. I only have Iron Crown though; I gave my Iron Boulder away because I wasn't using it.

Vertical's translation of Kizumonogatari.

I love the Kizumonogatari movies, so I read the novel. I have questions about the jokes:

  1. Are some of them just puns that aren't funny because the humor was lost in translation?
  2. Some dirty jokes are clearly meant to break tension, but sometimes I'm like...really!? We have to do this NOW!? -> I'm talking about the last 3 chapters specifically where Araragi is miserable, and Kiss Shot says she has no will to live. I remember being sad at first, but then I read the jokes about bras and panties that followed, and I was like... "I guess not everyone knows how to read a room, but like... really?!"

I guess my overall question is : Is the book funnier in Japanese?

(Japan in the 90s) Public opinion on questionable relationships

I grew up in North America. I will always find some of CLAMP's... choices weird, but I'm aware that that might make me sound like a judgmental foreigner.

Just out of curiosity: Was the amount of student-teacher romantic relationships in the series a problem when the manga was first released in Japan?

For reference:

*Touya (14 in middle school) was dating Kaho (22) his teacher.

*Nadeshiko was 16 when she married her high school teacher (Sakura's dad).

*When Rika was 12, she secretly got engaged to Terada who was in his late 20s/early 30s

EDIT: I wanted a Japanese person's perspective (preferably someone who was consuming Sakura media in the 90s), but... no luck. By the way, I know Sakura is a comfort show for a lot of people. I'm not trying to yuck anyone's yum.
