Zwift and Apple Watch

Without hating on Zwift or Apple. Can someone advise why the Apple Watch to Zwift connection is so unreliable.

Sometimes it works then stops but a quick on/off of the companion watch app resets it
Sometimes it’s fine from the start
And then today…it’s not connecting at all..although the watch is discovered.

Any tips
Any cast iron options to get it to work more reliably.

Zwift cog - disconnected derraileur

I use Zwift cog on a bike frame thats only used for Zwift. I have my cog set up and with the Zwift changers it’s a great addition to Zwift.

To avoid physically changing gear I have removed the front derailleur (it was on its way out anyway) but before I disconnect the rear derailleur, will disconnecting it (not removing it affect the chain tension with the Zwift cog?

Thanks

Glacier Lodge or Ilimanaq Lodge

If you have the option to stay at one or other for night. Which would you choose? Still trying to build a tour

Greenland near end August

We are visiting in mid to end August for 8 days max or 5 days min.

We are looking to booking one of Greenland Travel’s tours. One of the tour options is a 25k ice sheet walk on the Paul emile Victor route. I’m not bothered about the distance (25km round trip) it’s more about the sections that are described as steep. How steep and is it climbing/scrabbling or just steep and up hill.

Also any other tips will be appreciated eh. Should we go organised trip or make it ourselves and book the hotels and excursions privately.

Thanks.
