I've been wanting to do this for a while. Take the modular outside, actually hear it without headphones, and still be able to interact with everything around.

That became the starting point for OCELOT. The speaker lets the system exist in the same physical space as you, while the contact piezo lets the outside world become part of the patch. From there, I started playing with feedback and with the idea of the system interacting with itself.

I didn't want it to become just a little speaker, though. It needed to remain a proper part of the system, with signals going both in and out.

OCELOT is 12HP and there's also a DIY kit if anyone wants to build one.

It all starts with Tabor, routed into two main paths: one distorted, the other reverberated. A few more rhythmic paths try to take over, but remain relatively quiet. Human intervention is kept to a minimum. Maybe it should have been even less.

Over the years we've accumulated a large set of hardware components used in our designs.

From these real parts, we've created a free 3D library of 75 models, based directly on the exact components we use in our builds.

Instead of keeping them buried in CAD files, we've made them available as a free resource containing jacks, potentiometers, switches, knobs, connectors, spacers, fasteners, power cables, and more.

Each model is available as both GLB and STEP, so you can use them for quick mockups, panel design, mechanical checks, or full CAD assemblies.

I watched Backrooms and couldn't get it out of my head.

For me, any place can become a backroom. A forest. A river. A familiar place.

Sometimes all it takes is a different light, a different sound, and a space becomes something else.

This patch is my attempt to translate that feeling into sound.

A soundtrack for familiar places that suddenly stop making sense.

I had just finished watching the movie Sirat and sat down to do this.

We could call it the natural patch of Tabor: choked and fed into a resonator. The rest is a kick and a few modulations. That film really threw me off. Have you seen it?

exploring the concept of a modular four voices drum set with:

• Krono in mode 27 to direct,

• Four Tabor, action limited to 2M and 4F,

• Four Goblet, frequency and resonance play - bandpass out,

• Eight channels of Agogo, two for each voice (accents),

• Be2n as the lead,

• Tutto&Sempre for the final stage.
