I'm up near Rochester NY so the salt during winter is my concern. Is the stainless for 250 more a must or can I get away with the cheaper material and just keep it clean as I can.

What is this wire bracket type thing supposed to be doing, noticed other day it was just dangling.
1st time diesel owner, just bought a 6.0 2 weeks ago and had been running great, until yesterday about 3miles from my house it died. Drove fine all day, drove for 40ish minutes before died so not cold at all. Can get it to start again but dumping white smoke, and running very rough with no power and a kinda knocking sound. I scanned for codes and got p0263, p0275, p0611, and p0620. I'm thinking its the injectors for #1 and #5 are bad, but plan to check the ficm tonight after work. From what I found online that could be my actual issue making the injectors fail.
Am I in the right thought process of what I need to look at or am I missing something else completely as a diesel newbie.
