OBS suspension help 1995 PSD

Have a 1995 F250 PSD - I’m not looking to Dana 60 swap it. Going to put back OEM alcoas on it and I don’t want a super tall lift.

What’s the best way to have a good smooth ride front and rear and good steering??

I’ve seen carrick coilover conversion.

Are there other options else out there?

04 6.0 need a wizard

new 6.0 f350. all was well no blow by nothing weird. i left it in reverse for a min or two and it starting dumping white smoke, after a few miles it went away. drove fine for a few days. i left it in reverse for a min again and it did the same thing and would roll coal (stock truck). checked coolant reservoir, it was completely empty. i tried adding some but it kept smoking and sucked the reservoir dry again. now the starter just clicks no start. not sure where to start. egr and oil cooler? head gasket?

Thanks a lot Ford…

For not including a cabin air filter on pre-2017 Super Duties 😂 Here’s this week’s job I finally tackled on my ‘16. Evaporator core replacement.

Needless to say the leak is fixed and the airflow is slightly (ok a TON) better… 🤣 The A/C finally keeps up in this thing.

I don’t know what kind of dust the previous owner drove through to get it that filthy in just 9 years, but I’ve owned it a year and always suspected this needed to be done. When I found out the leak was in the evaporator, I bit the bullet and did the job. A 99° day in the sunlight wasn’t a great choice but it’s done!

Inherited a 300K 7.3 PS beauty. Tips to keep it forever?

So, recently got the gift of a 24 foot beast of a 4WD, single wheel 4dr F250 with a long bed, sliding fifth wheel. Bush bar and ranch style tailgate. Has a tuner, coolant filter, enclosed aftermarket intake. Paint is faded of course, but engine runs like a top, exhaust clear as my conscience and has trouble reaching 180 coolant/oil unloaded off the interstate. Previous owner seemed responsible.

Long story short, it's hauled RV's and wants to work still. I'm wondering...

When/if should I rebuild?

How much to rebuild the front end, drive line and all corners? Trans fluid looks great, shifts great unloaded. But I've got a torn boot on the front, and the carrier bearing looks shot.

It's got a Garrett turbo, is that OEM or another contention for replacement?

I've worked on 95+ broncos and f150's, but I don't know diesels and honestly wouldn't mind dropping money for all bearings replaced. Doesn't leak, AC cold as hell but might need a clutch, 4wd works and starts in negative temps.

7.3 powerstroke buzz test failure

Hi all,
I’m confused at this point and need some advice.

I’ve been chasing a p1273/p1293 and cylinder contribution issues for a while. I have replaced the idm and engine wiring harness, the UVCH is only 2-3 months old. I also swapped injectors 3 & 5 and the buzz failure stayed on 5.

After replacing the engine wiring harness, the cylinder contribution issues are gone and the truck seems to run perfectly but I still have the p1275 and p1293. Could this be false codes? They only show up when I run a buzz test and they aren’t standing codes.

What else should I test or should I just drive the truck as is?

Should I buy

my uncle wants to sell me his 2007 6.0 power stroke it has a little over 277,000 miles for my understanding. Water pump has been replaced a whole bunch of other miscellaneous parts in the engine and around the engine, I know gaskets and O-rings have just been replaced last year has brand new brakes all the way around interior is about a seven out of 10 the only thing to grip about is the center console four-wheel-drive still works transmission has been serviced every hundred thousand miles in every oil change every 5000 in every fuel filter every 10,000 is it worth the buy for 5000 or should I look into something else? The frame doesn’t look too bad but the quarter panels are definitely very rusted.

note for the previous people who’ve commented I thought it was a 2003 I guess I was wrong. Apparently it is a 2007 he has four power strokes so they get confusing.

Leaking t/case seal

I have a 2005 Ford F250 with the 6 L diesel and I have replaced the transfer case output shaft seal three times and every time it has leaked, I'm starting to get sick of replacing them, the first time I believe it happened because my support bearing/bushing for the drive shaft was completely shot so I replaced that and replace the seal as well, the second time right after I took it for a test drive turns out I must have forgotten to tighten down the carrier bearing bolts for the drive shaft so I understand that but now I've replaced the seal again and it was holding for a bit but still took a shit and I pulled it out to find it pretty much welded itself to the flange/ dirt cover on the end of the output shaft. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong, I hate replacing these! A few things I have already done is checked the vent line to the transfer case and it is not clogged I can blow through it just fine, I have also checked the play in the output shaft of the transfer case and there is nothing so I assume my bearings are good inside the transfer case itself, I also tried wiggling it with everything put back together via the drive shaft and there was nothing, no movement at all, is this just bad luck of getting a shitty seal? The first seal iput in was Motorcraft but the second seal I picked up from O'Reilly's, it was supposed to be a good brand seal and that one failed, this third one I picked up from Napa and it's in SKF seal so I am kind of lost. Any input or advice will help! Also side note I tried looking up videos of people doing them but apparently I must be the first one to do one because nobody seems to have a video of them doing one and I can't find anyone else running into the same issue, I am fairly certain I am installing them correctly but there may be other ways.

2014 F-350 Starting Issues

Hi all, wondering if any of you could help me out. I have a 2014 F-350 6.7 Powerstroke that has intermittent starting issues. One day it will start up first couple cranks no problem, the next day it has a hard time starting and takes 3-5 seconds to start or even longer. Seemingly no pattern to it, cold, warm doesnt matter.

I had the fuel system and CP4 inspected and there was no issues with it that they could find. No codes thrown and no check engine light.

I thought it was a phantom air leak into the fuel system causing it to bleed down fuel pressure, but even if I cycle the key a few times to prime the fuel lines it will still randomly have a hard time starting.

Just looking for any advice. Thinking I maybe need a new starter. Truck has 295 000km on it. Other than the random starting issue the truck runs great. Its fully deleted with a mild tow tune on it since 220 000km.

Thanks in advance for any tips or advice guys!

Need help

I have a 2006 f250 6.0. It has head studs and oring heads and a new oil cooler and a couple other things. I’ve put some power to it but it’s just a kc stage 1 11 blade and a 100hp tune. Recently I’ve had coolant coming out of the coolant reservoir. I’ve replaced the cap with a ford motor craft one and it’s still coming out just not as bad. I can’t tell if there is a crack in the reservoir somewhere or if the cap just came bad. I try not to drive it hard but I do pull a trailer almost daily. I usually try to keep it under 3k rpm’s since I’m still not sure about the truck. It got studded with all the new parts just about right at 15k miles ago. Any advice would be great because I’m leaving towards blown headgasket. It has thurobread head studs but I don’t remember what brand gaskets

6.0 randomly starting on its own

So I've had this 2004 f350 for about 6 months now and I've encountered a very strange issue. To preface, I bought it from a friend who had it for a few years and while I was taking it for a test drive, I asked if there were any issues that he was aware of. He mentioned a few things and then told me a story about one time he had been driving it home, turned truck off and took the key out of the ignition and the truck wouldn't turn off. I believe he said he ended up disconnecting and reconnecting the batteries and turning the ignition on and off and he got it to turn off. He said that was the one and only time it happened to him.

Well, fast forward to 3 months after I had it and my wife called me and told me she took the truck out to the store, brought it home, turned the truck off, and locked the door with the fob, and suddenly, the truck just turned back on... with no key in the ignition. She got in the truck turned the key to on, and tried turning it off. The electronics inside would turn off, but the engine kept running. She turned it back on, put the truck in reverse, put it in drive, then back in park, and she was able to turn it off.

The other day I went outside to grab something out of the truck after it had been off since the previous day, locked the door with the fob, and a few seconds later, once again the truck turned on. I repeated what my wife did to turn it off and it didn't work. I drove it around the block and came back and was able to turn it off.

These are the only 2 times in 6 months of driving that it's happened

TL;DR The engine seems to be turning on infrequently when locking the door with the fob and won't turn off with the key.

Any idea what could be causing this? My mind jumps to something in the circuit that controls the locks shorting onto the starter circuit or something like that, but why am I not able to just turn the truck off with the key if that's the case? I also thought maybe there was some sort of aftermarket fob mod that could start the truck by entering some sort of combination but I can't seem to recreate this phenomenon at all.

7.3 died while towing

*Edit with the the cause*

It was my IPR. Tried swapping the electro magnet housing with a known good one, no change. Replaced the entire IPR and the truck fired right up.

Appreciate all the feedback

Looking for help on the side of the road. 2002 7.3L Excursion the engine shut off without any signs or hesitation and I’ve run out of ideas.

I have confirmed that I have:
-65PSI of fuel pressure
-CPS replaced with known good one
-RPM when cracking
-low pressure oil when cranking
-high pressure oil when cranking
-all injectors buzz
-no fuses blown
-wait to start light appears on dash
-I have unplugged the ICP

I’m at a loss

Lost the OG on Friday

Bertha met her match on Friday when a driver ran a stop sign across a major road without attempting to stop, which ultimately ended her life but saved my dogs life and mine as her last act of service.

So many people badmouth 6.0 diesels, yet I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with it. I bought her originally with 76,000km from the second owner, the first owner being the Canadian DOD or Department of Defence. She spent the first half of her life hauling equipment around, spent the next few years hauling horses all over Ontario, and then I had the pleasure of using her for work, anything from towing a 13k trailer with a mini ex and concrete pads to a load of mulch. Whatever was thrown her way, she handled gracefully. All maintenance was performed as per required, no modifications other than an exhaust, an S&B intake and a coolant filter kit.

Thank you old girl, RIP

I had it wrong this entire time

For a whole year, a whole YEAR, I’ve been driving with the wrong set of tunes on my 6.0. The initial set I got did good, but the trans was having issues downshifting. I also didn’t know (at that time) that I had a weak fuel pump, multiple high pressure oil leaks at higher pressures, a weak HPOP, and incorrectly setting the tire RPM.

Before I figured any of the above out, I asked them to modify the shift points of the trans, and the new tunes did just that. But ever since, it always sucked at towing. All of my power was collected in the bottom 3/8ths of the pedal, and anything more than that it would just rev. That’s what led me to find and replace parts that tested bad, but the issue still persisted.

So, just for shits and giggles, I found my original tunes and loaded the hottest one, and man oh MAN is my truck a different beast. It hooks up, doesn’t lag, turbo spools like a motherfucker, and the transmission shifts even better! So I called and asked about the new set that I had, and turns out, they got them mixed up and gave me a set of tunes that weren’t meant to drive with, but to test with, but said those were the final tunes.

Speaking of which, my SCT tuner actually wouldn’t set tire RPM no matter what I did. I ended up using Forscan to set the tire RPM in the ABS module, and that fixed most of the shifting issues before anything else was figured out.

So, moral of the story is, it’s almost never a tuning issue, it’s because you have something else going on, especially on a 6.0.

But now, with 155/30 injectors, a different compressor housing, ODAWG intake, 80 HP ficm tune on ARP 2000s lets you make 32lbs of boost, and it locks down and conquers hills with a 10k trailer like no other. Oh, and my EGTs dropped and my fuel mileage went up. Just make sure you have a good oil cooler and flush everything so you don’t have to do it twice

New to me 6.0 no start

I bought a non running 05 f250 6.0 as a project. Guy said he had a friend put injectors and seals in it because it had a miss. Never ran again. I have 1237 psi oil pressure. 60 psi fuel pressure at the fuel filter cap. Can crank sync. Ficm sync. Never drops below 48 volts on ficm. The injector chatter at key on sounds uniform. It will run for a few seconds on starting fluid and that sounds like normal idle. Not sure where to go from here. The injectors that went in came out of a running 6.0. That’s about all I know about it.

6.0 misfiring

2006 6.0 f350, Warren diesel stock injectors, drove to work perfect and fine, at a certain stop light on the way home I felt a thud and truck bucked me once and rpm’s were up and down, loss of power leaving the light, getting it towed right now, but I got the P0300-60 code, and saw 298 and climbing misfires 🤣 9blade turbo, stock injector sizes, deleted, stock tune, no diesel smell or nasty oil, pretty sure it’s the damn injectors, got warranty atleast, what do yall think?
