Need advice

I got this 2006 6.0 287,000 for free because it was backfiring out of the intake. I found a broken exhaust rocker and I’m taking the cab off some time next month to fix it. I wanted to tackle some of the other things that go out on 6.0s while I’m in there. Is there any parts that I need to replace or upgrade to make this thing more reliable and bulletproof it? So far I plan on doing ARP headstuds and better head gaskets. Any advice for a parts list would be greatly appreciated.

How did the rocker snap?

My 6.0 powerstroke was backfiring through the intake. On the passenger side I found a snapped rocker and bent push rod. I’m trying to find out why it broke. It’s on the original valve train with 287,000 miles. The plastic clip was missing, I’m not in a position to replace a lifter or cam so I’m hoping for some information to see if it’s just a broken rocker and push rod before I buy parts. The head gasket and injectors were recently replaced. Thanks to everyone that helped on my past 2 post with diagnosing.

Which valve is not working?

I’m trying to investigate a backfiring out of the intake. But I can’t tell which one is giving the problem. It’s throwing several check engine lights for the driver side of the engine.

What’s broken on it?

Got a free 6.0 powerstroke from a family member, it’s back firing from the intake. What could be wrong with it?
