They enshittified the seating at my usual Maccas. Previously there were fixed benches with large, deep cushions, on at least one side of the tables. These have been fully replaced with gray plastic chairs that are rock hard and make a godawful racket when moved.
Flying NAN-LAX-SEA. I originally booked the ticket as economy with FJ airways and later paid FJ to upgrade the international NAN-LAX leg to business class (long before the actual flight). LAX-SEA is in economy, I have no Atmos status or oneworld status of any kind, do not have a lounge membership etc.
My understanding is that connecting from international business class on a oneworld carrier, to AS, allows lounge access. AS lounge in LAX didn’t seem to automatically grant access because the ticket was Z class (though they did override it and let me in).
Did I get lucky or should I normally have access in this scenario?
I figured “international business class” + “connecting oneworld to AS” = lounge access, and that’s what various websites say. But does this depend on having status or on the fare class the ticket was originally purchased under?
FJ has been a full oneworld member (previously oneworld connect) since last year so it can’t be that.
