My new favorite trick for landing pages: diagonal and split image masks

My new favorite trick for landing pages: diagonal and split image masks

One of those "why didn't I do this sooner" moments. Took a generic hero image, slapped a diagonal cut on it, and suddenly the layout feels 10x more dynamic. Free Framer plugin I made (Framixs Shape) no Photoshop, no exporting, just pick and apply. Drop your wildest shape ideas, I'm adding more soon.

Rectangles are overrated tried shape-masking my hero images

Got tired of every hero looking the same, so I started masking images into diamonds, blobs, and diagonal cuts right inside Framer. Built a free plugin for it (Framixs Shape) 10 shapes so far. Honestly the organic ones surprised me the most, they make boring stock photos look way more intentional. Anyone else ditching the rectangle? What's working for you?

Built a hero section using shape masking directly on the Framer canvas

Been experimenting with applying shape masks to images without leaving Framer. No Figma roundtrip, no exporting pick a shape, adjust it, apply. Made a plugin for it called Framixs Shape, free on the marketplace if anyone wants to try it. Planning to add more shapes based on feedback. What shapes would you add? Genuinely curious I want the next batch to come from real use cases, not just my imagination.
