Finally got some time to write up some notes and history on this beautiful Espada I got my hands on shortly after G&L closed last year! Thought I'd share
Another beauty from James before G&L closed. Buckeye Burl wood with blue epoxy resin, matching fretboard inlays, one piece swamp ash body behind it, Will Ray bridge pickup, close to 7 lbs... an absolute ripper.
Black + Chrome, Mojotone QuietCoils HSS… a setup that will never change with humidity 😆
Featuring chromed control knobs, of course 🔥
Found a wild deal on a custom made Carvin from 2008... that was played a couple of times in 2008 then put in its case for 18 years! Maple quilt, burst, stainless frets, abalone inlay, rosewood board, matching headstock... just a beauty!
Neither here nor there on the modern Kiesel stuff, but Carvin's made-to-order shop in California back in the day was crushing it. 🎉
