Is that what “Body” is supposed to be anyway?

Poppy Zoo: Feedback & Recommendations

Hello folks,

I’ve always been one to enjoy an underdog legend so I cooked up a **Poppy Zoo** deck that abuses Gardens of Becoming and Scrutinizing Sergeant to help fuel your board via Poppy’s card draw.

The term “zoo” is generally taken from old MTG decks that ran a bunch of small, aggressive creatures in an attempt to quickly overwhelm your opponent and inevitably win the game. This deck looks to play a similar style.

——

Going to run by every card choice, since there was a lot to choose from:

[[Poppy Paragon]] - The most ideal Poppy for the deck as we want to spend our XP to draw and Paragon helps us punch through a battlefield which our deck struggles to do.

[[Enthralling Protector]] - The best Hunt unit for our deck with the option to buff him for cheap if we need the numbers.

[[Grim Resolve]] - A mini Punch First that nearly draws us a full card, this pump spell will also help us pierce through protected battlefields.

[[Keeper’s Verdict]] - The best interactive spell in the deck. A catch-all with incredible potential.

[[Pit Rookie]] - An efficient 2 drop that isn’t completely dead in the late game.

[[Rally the Troops]] - A great combo card with Vanguard Captain that helps us spread power across a wide range of units.

[[Trusty Ramhound]] - A powerful unit that is almost always 3 might. Its stats are too good to pass up in a shell like this.

[[First Mate]] - A cheeky one of that can ready a unit for Gardens of Becoming or ready a Spectral Matron for an unpredictable assault.

[[Galio Indefatigable]] - A huge unit who helps tank through attacks and keeps our units alive. It is also a great answer to cards like Gust which really deflate our decks potency. His ability to hold a battlefield works well with Poppy’s legend ability.

[[Loyal Poro]] - Another way to draw cards in a deck looking to sift through its cards quickly. Similar to Ramhound, its ability is almost always active.

[[Nilah Joyful Ascetic]] - An accelerated unit with great stats that gains XP efficiently. Works well with First Mate as well thanks to its Ganking ability.

[[Pakaa Cub]] - Yes, we’re playing the cub non-ironically. It’s an extra body that can flip at react speed for Gardens of Becoming and an extra body for Scrutinizing Sergeant. The cub is actually pretty solid in a list like this.

[[Vanguard Captain]] - A source of spread damage that combos decent with Spectral Matron & Xin Zhao and very well with Rally.

[[Xin Zhao Vigilant]] - A readied aggressive unit that can push for damage similar to Nilah. Overall a great mid/late game draw when playing from behind.

[[Spectral Matron]] - The toolbox of the deck. Grab Galio if you need heavier defenses, Grab Xin Zhao if you need a readied, aggressive push, grab Vanguard Sergeant if you need spread, or grab Pakaa Cub if you need aura.

[[Scrutinizing Sergeant]] - A great source of fuel that will ignite your legend draws for about 2 turns after it lands. Also, decently stated for an aggro deck.

The sideboard is relatively simple: Unyielding Spirit against control/tempo decks (Kai’sa, Viktor, Pyke, etc)

Cull the Weak against Irelia flavoured decks (Irelia, Jax, Yi, etc)

Disposal Orders against Fizz/Heedless flavoured decks (Ezreal, Annie, etc)

Salvage into Aurora (Cringe, etc)

Grand Stratagem against other aggro style decks (Azir, Rek’sai, etc)

——

Here are some opening turns that feel powerful and are difficult for some decks to stop:

T1 Enthralling
T2 Conq Gardens, Play Galio, Hide Cub (react on enemy turn)
T3 Tap all 3 for XP, Draw 1 with legend, Hold interaction or accelerate Nilah for attack on BF2

T1 Ramhound
T2 Nilah Acellerated, Attack for 7 or conq open BF
T3 Gank Nilah BF2, Loyal Poro played with Ramhound for a 6 might hold

T1 Enthralling
T2 Pit Rookie, buff Enthralling, Conq open BF for Hunt, hold up Keepers/Resolve
T3 Move Enthralling back, First Mate to ready Enthralling, Xin Zhou, attack BF2 with 8 might + tank, draw 1 with legend

——

Anyway, this was all done mostly in testing. Deck has a few very poor matchups but is aggressive enough where it feels like there’s always a chance.

Looking for feedback on this build, let me know what you think!

Hello Folks,

Currently I’m running a similar discard-heavy Sivir Midrange list for Spiritforged and it’s performing pretty well. I’m looking to branch the deck out upon the UNL release and am hoping some Sivir lovers might be able to help. I have a high budget so all card recommendations are on the table.

Current list is running a few staples like 3x Punch First, 3x Rebuke and 3x Stacked Deck all which have earned their spot in list and have performed very well.

I have Trove (since it’s a Sivir must-have) along with Challenge & Flash as interactive answers to different strategies. For hand disruption, the deck has Sabotage and Mindsplitter all at a 3-of. Low to the ground versatile units are Fizz and Ezreal and Faefolk who think is a powerful 1-of that works incredibly with Nidalee.

Nidalee is the main early threat and early draw for the deck. The deck has many ways to win combat and keep units alive so I expect her to grant a great amount of value. Purple Vex is a catch all against Ambush, Accelerate and every other cheesy aggro tactic. I think being able to keep her alive with our interaction will help gain the upper edge against a variety of decks.

Finally, Rhasa as a late threat and cheesy push with On The Hunt.

For the sideboard:

Disposal Order: Heedless/Fizz Trash Decks
Hard Bargain: Spell Decks
Switcharoo: Pump Decks
Akshan: Aurora Decks
Vex: Combat Decks
Ruin Runner: YellowBlueControl.exe

Any thoughts would be appreciated!
