Should I Continue Nursing or Stop and Focus on Starting a Family?

I’m turning 30 soon, and I’m currently studying nursing. I’ve only recently started, so I’m still at the beginning of the journey. However, I’ve been having doubts about whether I should continue or stop because my husband is already hoping for us to have a baby.

This is a really difficult decision for me because I don’t want to look back and regret either choice. If I continue nursing, I know it will take several more years before I finish, get licensed, and hopefully start working. At the same time, I’m worried that if I stop now to focus on having a baby and our family, I might regret giving up the opportunity to become a nurse.

Financially, we’re also not very stable right now, so I have to think realistically about the cost of continuing school and eventually raising a child. My husband also wants to work abroad in the future, and I’m hoping to have the opportunity to work abroad as well someday.

For those who have been in a similar situation, what would you consider if you were in my position?

Would you continue nursing even if it means delaying having a baby for a few years, or would you prioritize starting a family now and possibly return to school later?

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have experienced something similar, especially those who started their careers or families around their 30s. I’m trying to make a wise decision without letting fear or pressure make the decision for me.
