WTS - <14K JF-BB> Junlai 699

SOLD

Hello,

The pen is a Junlai (or Wingsung) 699 and transparent-ish brown. It’s got a cool 14K JF-BB nib, where JF stands for Jung Feng grind, and has line variation depending on writing angle. I was told it is similar to the Naginatori grind. It’s done on a BB nib, hence JF-BB. B condition.

Shipping included to CONUS - $80

Fountain Pen Revolution flex pen - another affordable flex pen and Amazon Basics paper pad recc!

I posted recently about the Majohn flex pen as an affordable pen to try out a flex nib, and it made me reach for my other modern flex nib pen, the Fountain Pen Revolution Himalaya V2. It had Kaweco Summer Purple in it, and it is a super wet ink. A super wet ink in a flex pen = bleedthrough and feathering almost anywhere. Which is probably why I didn’t reach for it much. I thought I’d rectify this by just swapping out the ink. This page is a result of me using up the last drops of ink left in the pen before using the new ink 💜🫟

I like it a lot better than I remember!! The FPR flex pen still has the feed that protrudes out and will touch the paper with ink if you write too low, but it flexes well!

I also wanted to give a recommendation for the Amazon Basics paper pad - it handled the super wet Kaweco summer purple like a champ with only a bit of feathering and bleedthrough, even with the flex pen. It has handled all my other non flex pens perfectly (though I use them for throwaway notes so only use the other side). I recommend it for those who would have the same use case and want to use fountain pens for rough notes but don’t want to use expensive paper just to use them!

Sun is popping out lately, which I’m quite pleased about, since I can get better pictures of my pens and inks now 😂

An affordable flex nib pen - Majohn P136 🤩

I saw this on AliExpress and paid about $65 for it - so far I love it! The color is nice and fits the Diamine Indigo perfectly. It’s Majohn P136 with Blue Glacier color and flex nib. The second new pen is the Hongdian N23 Red Rabbit with Long Knife nib. It writes very smooth but I wouldn’t say it’s my preference

After I swore I wouldn’t do another cult pens order (for the second time) last time, here I am again…. A few are repurchases after I gave/sold some away and missed them 😅.

This prompted me to swatch some of the inks I hadn’t already (onto these cards), and by the time I was done, I used up exactly the swatch cards I had left!

I’m also quite satisfied with my ink storage drawers, so I thought I’d share those here, as well 🥰

Used the Dominant industry ink muddler for the blob ink swatches and the Hocoro dip pen with F nib for the labels!
