3D Printed Irons Review

Wanted to give a quick review of these irons since I couldn’t find much information on them before I bought them.
Disclaimer: I was able to get these at a significant discount because my brother works at a golf store.
A little backstory: I had been playing Cobra King Tours for quite a while and was playing well with them, but I thought moving to something a little more forgiving might help. I switched to a Srixon ZXi combo set (5s and 7s). Nothing against those clubs—they’re excellent—but the offset never really suited my eye. I also started developing a bit of a hook, and every once in a while I’d catch a random “hot” shot that would fly 20 yards farther than expected. That became my miss all season.
When the Cobra 3D Printed irons came out, I was intrigued, but the price tag seemed pretty outrageous. Eventually, I ended up with a combo set: 3DP MBs from PW-7 iron and 3DP Tours in the 4-6 irons.
I’ve now played five rounds with them, and here are my thoughts.
Despite the price, these irons are genuinely incredible. The MBs have forgiveness that honestly feels closer to a players-distance iron, but without the random jumpers. Front-to-back dispersion has been outstanding. They set up beautifully behind the ball, and even with the ultra-thin topline, they inspire a surprising amount of confidence after just a few swings.
The Tour long irons add just a little more size without looking bulky. They stay extremely consistent on distance and, in my experience, are even more forgiving than my ZXi 5s, which already felt incredibly forgiving across the face.
In short, Cobra absolutely knocked it out of the park with these. I’ll probably never say the price feels “reasonable,” but if any iron comes close to justifying a premium price tag, it’s these. Great work by Cobra.

Mini Driver suggestions?

Has anyone swapped out their 3-wood in favor of a mini driver? My current driver setup is heavily fade-biased because I absolutely hate missing left. I’m playing a Callaway Quantum TD with a Ventus Black TX at 8°, set up as fade and low launch-biased as possible ( always windy where I play). My 3-wood is a Qi4D with a Ventus Blue TR, and I have it set up with a draw bias. I like keeping my driver to one shot shape, but there are certain holes that really call for a draw, and that’s about the only time I pull the 3-wood. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever hit it off the deck—I usually won’t hit anything longer than a 7-wood from the fairway. My question is: would I be better off replacing the 3-wood with a mini driver that’s set up with a draw bias? If so which isn’t best bet for an anti right mini driver? I don’t mind hitting the 3-wood off the tee, but I can really turn it over at times. Mentally, the way it sits behind the ball just makes me feel like I’m going to hook it left. Visually I prefer the look of a mini driver over a 3 wood for a tee shot. My driver is a very consistent low fade that carries about 285 and gets a ton of rollout. My 3-wood carries around 265 on average with a much higher flight. I like the idea of a mini driver, but if it’s going to add another 10–15 yards, I don’t want to end up with a driver and mini driver that carry almost the same distance. Has anyone made this switch? If so, what were your results? Any advice would be appreciated!
