This time around, I took two bands. One was a stainless steel band, and the other a stainless steel PVD gold band. I took both of them, and plated them Rose Gold.

The process was to clean each piece, dunk it in electrocleaner, then a gold strike, and finally rose gold.

The results look pretty good. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference between plating on top of stainless vs PVD gold. I'll wait another 24-hours and take another round of photos and see if the time made any changes.

I took a PVD gold plated watch band I purchased off Aliexpress, and my goal was to plate it with 18K gold.

The first photo is the stock finish. The 2nd photo shows the 18K gold plated version in-between. You can see how much lighter it is, and brighter...
