How I Became a "Word Hunter" and Improved My Reading

I used to read in English for work and as a hobby. Sometimes I found words that I didn’t know, translated them, and continued reading. A few hours later, I had already forgotten the word...

I wished there was a tool to save these unknown words and study them later. I tried several Chrome extensions, but none of them satisfied my needs, so I created my own, and the magic started to happen.

After a couple of weeks of learning new "complicated" words, I noticed that my reading started to improve a lot for two reasons. First, I became more conscious; now I have the habit of identifying words that I don’t know. Second, every day I review these unknown words with a simple flashcard system.

Now, I’m a word hunter.

I published the Chrome extension, and without any promotion, it started to get organic users. I have already saved 237 words, and two months ago I took the TOEFL. I improve from a 5.5 in Reading, level C1, which was a huge surprise for me.

The tool is www.Lexigo.wiki

Best way to invest 2k per month

I have the ability to invest around $2,000 per month in stocks. I also have other investments in fixed-income assets, so this is the portion of my portfolio that I’m willing to allocate to medium-risk investments.

My investment horizon is one to two years, so I expect to buy and sell rather than simply buy and hold.

I have some investing experience, and I use Interactive Brokers (IBKR). However, I’m planning to increase the amount I invest.

What is the best way to minimize commissions and trading fees? What’s the best way to decide when to take profits? Is there a framework or strategy that experienced investors use for this?

Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you used HelloTalk app to find a learning partner?

I also read people looking for an English partner to practice, but I notice that there are apps where you can find people like HelloTalk.

What do you think about this apps? Do you think it works?
