Best stick for ball hockey
Those who play ball hockey in the off season from ice hockey, what height/curve am I looking for? I play in a competitive ball hockey league in my summers and I feel like I constantly struggle with what length and curve to use, in ice hockey I strictly use Bauer from the Vapour line with a P92M curve, with length slightly below my chin without skates on. I play D in both and as a ball hockey player I rarely stick handle at the line as I don’t want to run more then I need too (the ability to glide has been taken for granted in my life clearly). I find if I have a length comparable to my on ice sticks, I’ll have a good shot but my hands will suffer along the wall as will my abilities to make quick plays in my own end, then vice versa if I cut it short. As for curve, I’ve found a more moderate curves are more consistent with the weight of the ball for stretch passes but a deeper toe enhances my handling.
Basically what I’m asking for is advice from those who actually know what they’re doing in the ball hockey community, as my skills clearly do not correlate properly from ice to concrete and I’m tired of running my legs off to make up for my own mistakes.
Sticks/curves/flex are no issue as I have a graveyard in my basement that could equip a small army
Thanks in advance and fire away with the chirps as I am my own worst critic
