I just got my 2026 Durango Jailbreak Hellcat last Tuesday (8/11). Love the car! My dream car that I custom built and waited 3 months for to get my hands on it. I drove it for two days a total of 64 miles before the engine just cut off on me while making a right turn. I was annoyed, pissed and sad all at the same time. Got it towed to the dealership right away cuz there’s no way it already broke down. Long story short I found out today that a stud they used to hold an exhaust manifold to the frame was rubbing against the wiring harness and burned thru a wire which caused the engine cutoff. Ok no big deal the wire wasn’t secured properly it can happen in the building process. But now they soldered the wire back together instead of replacing the wiring harness with a new one. So now I have a repair on a two day old car. I told them I want them to replace it with a new one as I paid for a new car and I don’t want a repaired wiring harness on the car. The damage wasn’t caused by me nor the dealership but least they can do is change it to a new one so the car is still in top condition. The service department says they can’t cuz mopar won’t cover it. Now I’m going to have to fight with the dealership to get a new one put in. There’s no way I’m taking a 100k car with a damaged wiring harness after having it for two days. Any advice on how I can get them to go thru with replacing the wiring harness completely?
